The reason it isn't showing it up is because that traits in 1.8 require an allowed_classes field in the trait entry to determene if it can apply to different race types.

Yeah thats because he hasn't changed them to match the 1.6 changes to growth that removed one of the modifiers that reduces how much overall a pop needs to grow... now you can only make traits make pop growth per month faster instead :steamfacepalm:

For some reason, a lot of the traits do not have any effects, noteably all the pop modifer traits.

There's been a change in modifiers Tyler that has made the traits of animalistic, polygamous, very slow and stagnant breeders have no effect on anything. Growth speed uses 'Pop_Growth_Speed' the old modifier of 'Pop_Growth_Req_Mult' does nothing at all.

true, but others like Advanceds Trait mood i use , dont work anymore, the traits are still in the game but have no effects anymore, they are just placeholders

yeah alot of the time non compat mods will work after the update, since most of the only need the descriptor changed xD

it just kinda sucks if seek out complete new mods yesterday, play for 8hours, yesterday, 4 today. make a break for lunc and when you start th game again, nothing works as thanks to new upodate all 90% of the mods arent compatible anymore...

I have tried this before but for some reason it then sticks all the current traits at the bottom instead of certain parts in the traits tree

Because you overwrite the 00_species_traits.txt file completely; so your mod is incompatible with ALL other trait mods.

Rename it to 009_species_traits.txt for example, and remove all the games baseline traits (all traits you don't mean to modify) from the file, and then your mod will be compatible with others.

Seems this mod doesn't play nicely with other trait mods. Unless it's the only one loaded, none show up. Any idea why this one is different like that?

Going through traits, Devients addsd +15% Unity instead of Subtracting :P That is the only thing I really see wrong with the traits ^_^ Great update and thank you.

@Exsul Ah thanks :) i am trying to figure out how to get the broken traits to work correctly as well, for some reason they just won't XD just need to tinker with it a bit

Ah, thats fine. Just wanted to make sure I didnt have to go looking for another traits mod (Debating on picking up modding for myself, to be honest.) I love the mod here because it brings some balance with it, and makes the game overall more enjoyable ^_^ If there is a way I can help, lemme know.

So there won't be any further updates for this mod? :/ Cuz some of the traits, like Revolutionary, dont work with the new ethics system and such.
