The game does all of this by default with ctrl a ♥♥♥♥♥ key combinations...

Can you rebind the ctrl key in the configs? My left ctrl is broken :(

It has always been like that. This mod do not remove the drop animation. It's only a QOL mod where it improves how you can drop your items.

Hi, I'm back to the game after a long time and I find this mod doesn't work like it should before (or I just remember it wrong).
Does the character show an drop animation when you hit 'Z' or there's no animation at all and the item just drop on the floor?
Currently the character shows an drop animation for me and I feel it kinda slow :|

I prefer the previous version in which i only drop the one i clicked on. Can you add an option to toggle if i want in that way or the new way? or maybe another mod with the previous version?
im having an issue that i drop itens without cursor. I'm having an issue where i drop items without having mouseover on itens (like dropping backpack), kinda like radicaljoe mentioned (if i drop anything and pick, without mouseover you always drop the last thing u dropped, it has a memory) i hope u understand what im saying bcuz my english is too poor

This is the first time I've seen this issue. That's not supposed to happen. Might be due to DST updates. I'll try and fix it.

I've recently been having trouble in the beta where pressing Z will drop whatever I last touched, example: I was dropping statues with it just fine, I put my walking cane in my hand to go get another statue and hit Z on accident on the way back and it dropped my cane(my cursor was nowhere near my inventory nor cane) is this a beta thing or has it always done that and I've never noticed?

This mod does not use quick drop animation.
Previously, this mod offers to drop your item without having to grab the item in the inventory slot, then slide your mouse over to drop it somewhere in the world.
How it does this is by having to hold a key to toggle the drop function, then just click the item to drop it. This is now implemented in the game so this mod was redundant.

What this mod offer now is to drop the item with only a keypress. the default is 'Z'. You no longer need to press 'Shift' and Right-Click the item. Just hover over the item in your inventory then press 'Z'. 'Ctrl' + 'Z' for 1 item only.

I didn't try out your mod, but I did compare the features. I made this because it was my mild annoyance with how you can drop items. But I'd say this mod is a major success for me. Thank you for stopping by.

Mine was built to give a feature to keyboard players that already exists in the game for controller players. It taps existing controls and actions that are locked away for whatever obscure reason.
This mod however, did come before mine AND has functionality that mine does not!

The major differences between the mods are down to execution. In the end, they are virtually the same mod but one feels more modded while the other feels more streamlined as if it was part of the game. Both help cover different tastes for different people.

@Tristin after a bit of a check. This mod is client side only. Quick drop is all clients require. I'm not sure how same it is the implementation. But I made this due to there are no client only 'quick drop' mod. Sorry the mod name disappoints you but I wouldn't want the mod to have the same name.

Is this mod any different from 'Quick Drop' mod? This mod also don't seem to do "instant" drop. I was expecting without animation, like when your inventory is full and you just toss it down from your cursor.

Started playing DST again after a bit of a hiatus and kept trying to quick drop, took longer than I'd like to admit that it was your mod, I am so used to it in single player, glad to see you have both versions! it's saved me in hamlet ruins more than I can count

Try out the new "On Buttonpress" Drop Mode. You basically can drop by just hovering on the item and press the [Drop Key] and Voila! Item dropped!

@Jake Compton: That was a bug and not a feature as you're supposed to click. But I'll reimplement it with an option for either to use the new version or the old one.

i used to be able to drop using alt instead of clicking. also, i cant drop susicious marbles exactly where im standing anymore with newest update.

To use this mod, you would need to hold the DROP KEY ( [Z] for default ) and click on the item in your inventory to drop the whole stack.
To drop a single item, while holding SINGLE MODIFIER KEY ( [Ctrl] for default ), hold the DROP KEY and click on the item in your inventory to drop a single item.

I never planned on porting to DS and DS:SW. Please don't expect me to do so. I might be making it if I'm terribly bored.

Hm, I tried switching it around - set the game's "force stack (mod)" key to the section sign, and have this mod use the control key as hotkey, and that doesn't work right - I can only drop 1 item at a time, not the full stack.

Is there a way to set a custom key which is not in the available options? I'm migrating away from the Quick Drop mod and while Shift isn't ideal, I'd like to use the closest key - which types the section sign.

This mod is so good, keep up the work and take your time with ds and sw.

Can I suggest another feature? How about pressing Z + Number to drop something from your hotbar? For example, pressing Z+4 would drop the 4th item in your inventory.

Getting this on normal DS would be amazing.

Hey mate, may I suggest a feature? I think that holding down Ctrl along with the hotkey (So, Ctrl+Z by default) should only drop one single item instead of the full stack. If this was possible, then that would be delightful.
