I think that from the talking baby in the sink saying that "she had to get a part-time job as a cash register, only she could earn a wadge at all is the manager liked how she looked in a skirt" after he got fired and drowning his sadness in booze. This was 10 months prior to the game.

So my theory is this: she cheated on her husband and the baby was NOT his but the manager's. Then he kills her out of anger.
