Map too large doesn't work

May be you need this from Kaleut, he made all his wagon mods dependent on this:

That's ok do you know which mod is the issue as i can't pin down which is the cause.

I think that wagon requires a prerequisite mod ( may be a bogie/truck mod ? ) The saved game mod is overdue for an update... one without dependent mods... but at the moment I don't have the time to make it... I apologise for this inconvenience...

Playing the Jan 2012 saved version on this has an error in relation to drehgestelle waggon. Any suggestion to fix that or get around it. Plus can we access your last saved version upload?

Its the same as any other mods except you have to follow the instruction from the above descrption and set experimentalmap to true

Certainly would like to have more eastern suburbs ! Haven't been able to update / add new maps as my focus now is modelling new trains !

Its probably ok now to have more suburbs on the map since the performance patch was out... Though the map with need to move a little eastward to see the actual coast line of eastern suburbs and Manly...

Hey, I try loading the map but the heightmap is too large?

I don't know which city or area you are looking for, but you can use the search function on Steam to find out whats available.

@DannyT others you say? any AU modders you can reccomend?

@aeagle too busy right now on trains, maps its not too hard to make, I bet more detail map coming soon from others.

@Danny T Great looking map, again great to see more aussie content. as im assuming your from Sydney, it might be hard, but and chance of making other capital cities?

Just beware that the game have transport distance limitation due to cost, if the whole chain ended up costing too much for people to afford the product, your line will not function ( it will say no connection when you click an industry ), I don't know the recent patch have change this logic...

The 2012 saved game linked above has the most optimum industry positions after my many trial and errors. You are free to try positioning the industries and share with the community !

Ok - So new question. Being a born and bread roach (someone from Sydney) I'd like to add in realistic industry placement - right now i'm simply editing the start date, then using "no cost" mod to place industries, save, then reload without the mod.

Is it possible for me to edit the map in another way so I could share (with your permision) the same map updated with industries?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\446800\814849431\maps\Sydney_Suburbs\map.lua

Open Notepad or any text ASCII text editor you like :
Search for startDate = { year = 1988, month = 01, day = 01 },

Just change the year to the year you want !

Is it possible to modify this map to start earlier?

Try loading the map without the mods (except Sydney Suburb mod by itself) and save the game, then add the mods in after ?

if i load the map TF crashes, even if i use the mod to prevent the game from creating industries! please help!?

Try to use the Sydney Suburbs mod itself (stop random industry placements), because if you let the game generate industries for you it will exceed the maximum numbers it can handle since the map is SO BIG.

When i will load the map, it will exit the map. I have al changes the experminentalmapsizes tot true. But it still exit ;S

Where? Look up "Packs" and they will show up! (At least that's what I think........)

I am using his EMU, really well detailed !

I know this fellow named Seamon, and he has made his local Public Transport Pack, and a Train Pack. The buses in the public transport pack are all German, and in the train pack, he started off with an under-development train!

Of cause I will ask the pros, still have to spend my own time learning the shortcut-keys / best practices. I will need to learn from you which are the pros !

This is the clean map with only towns, I should've make a clean screenshot but cause people don't believe its actually playable, so I put screenshots of my game play.

Is there also a clean one? With no transport? Just the map??
