If this mod doen't work well, try these mod:
Play it to change the time of day & the daynight cycle speed
Theme Mixer 2 to set longitude & lattitude , the sun and more.

@quasar1334 - Today the Longtitude and Lattitude are normally set with Theme Mixer 2 by most people, same as Sun Size and Sun Intensity. And Play it! have a daytime slider as well as additional stuff for clouds and fog controlling. There is only one mod, where TimeWarp Fix and Speed Slider [v2] still have a usecase instead of using Play It!. And this is Real Time. So either you have this mod or you have other incompatible / broken / outdated mods. So instead of blaming another mod as crap it would be much more smart to dig deeper.

Comment Update: I installed back the old Time Warp mod to my game, and now everything is working perfectly.

BUT....I still have PlayIt installed and running alongside TimeWarp:

However, Time Warp OVERRIDES PlayIt when it comes manually setting the Day/Night cycle.

Also, Time Warp has Longtitude and Lattitude settings - that PlayIt doesn't have.

There are also Sun Size and Sun Intensity, that are super-easy to adjust in Time Warp.

However, PlayIt has simulator speed that Time Warp doesn't have. So, I use PlayIt for speed adjustment, while I use Time Warp for time adjustments.

Therefore, I am using both mods quite feasibly to affect the desired outcomes. Each one compliments the other, effectively making up for what's lacking in each other.

I'm truly glad to see that, even though Time Warp hasn't been updated, that it is still alive and well and kicking and is good as before.

Play It is crap. Don't use it - that is, if you intend to try to manually set the time of day. It won't allow you to do it!

@Styvan, on GitHub you'll find the source code. This code has to be compiled before it can be used in-game. You can have C:S compile it for you, or use a developing environment such as Visual Studio. How does the Github link work. The files don't have a instruction on where to install the files.

Screen flashes from day and night often. Noticed the issue is with this mod because the time slider goes crazy when this happens

You have to be more precise,
You have to right-click and drag the "area"-button to slide through time...

I cant control the sun with my right click ! whats wrong?

It will be better if the mod can get sun reversed, as many maps are just upside-down, with sun rising on the west. Or do you know any mod that is able to solve the problem?

I'm not the author, I only made the mod compatible with a new Unity version, years ago.

Ah, finally I could rescue my custom map where I (not being aware of the issue) imported terrain and overlays "as is" only to realize later the sun is north at noon when it should be in the south instead (on the northern hemisphere).

To the author: The "longitude" slider is inappropriately named. You cannot tell longitude from the sun position using local time, only by checking at which UTC time it is highest. What this slider does is: It moves the sun horizontally around the map so you can choose to have it north, south or anywhere else at noon. You can even make such nonsense as having the sun rise from the north pole ;-)

This setting made my day (see above), but that's nothing to do with longitude.

This is purely cosmetic w/o other mods.

Does this mod change the cims' behavior (eg. if I set it to permanent nighttime, will they never go to work?) or is it purely cosmetic? Thank you for making and updating this mod, by the way.

Absolute thanks to the author! On my computer Relight clashes with Ultimate Eyecandy (when Relight is on, Ultimate Eyecandy is unusable). TimeWarp Fix gives me everything I need from Ultimate Eyecandy - adjusting the time and the sun!

For ppl that expect more speed out of bigger cities: the game speed is throttled after 15k population and it generally won't let you past speed 2. idk if there's a mod for that.

I could confirmed that is working right in v1.11 and the Industries DLC ;)

@queen elizabeth shaw You cannot speed up unspeedable. Weak hardware is the reason why I stopped playing this game.

This doesn't actually speed up time...it just changes the day/night progression. It's still slow as hell at high populations.
