I know I'm coming in a couple of years after the most recent update here, but would it be possible to get a small grid version of the Thorium refinery? Same size, smaller, I don't care, I'd just like to be able to get everything into a small grid.

Bonus request - allow modules on the refineries because it feels like it takes forever to refine Thorium.

May I publish a compatibility patch to enable thorium fuel cycle breeding as a source of plutonium-238 for a set of Pu238-based RTG and TPV mods? Thorium-232 -> Pu238 is more realistic than my available Pu238 sources and I'd rather use your mod's thorium system than reinvent everything..

on top that i like use this over the deuterium reactor for 2 reason one this dose not use ice and me use hydrogen thrusters bc i like the idea refueling my ships instead of ion ion an atmospheric op to me

@jay-krustov you do know Keen remove uranium just spawning on planets right also when gun use uranium make ammo so have Thorium is nice

Hi again, nice that you updated this mod but the intension was for the other one.
Anyway i tested it again but the uranium spawn is still affected. Also the amount of stone that is need for one Thorium are a lot higher. Iam sorry to say that but i end up again to unsubscribe this one and will stay with the old and more balanced one without ore generation !

I read a lot comments and there are a good amount of people that have also some trouble/problems with that. It is like an Survival Impossible Mod where i must use windturbines, solarcells and batteries. For these people who want an Survival Impossible Mod this is a good choice. For all other i can´t give a recommendation for the "newer" mod but i can really recommend the "old" one. So please lay hands on the "old" mod or better to say "balanced" mod, there isn´t much to do, i would appreciate that. I will leave there also a comment.

Over the years i tested your "new" Tiered Thorium Mod several times and every time it messed up my game so i get back to your "old" Tiered Thorium Mod, let me explain:

Two days ago i set up a new savegame and search 7 Uranium spots and marked them. I put in your newer mod and wooosh...all Uranium are gone. So i search around additional 6 hours (with creative port) for any Uranium or Thorium and i found only a very little tiny spot of Thorium but way to less to be usefull. Uranium seems to dont spawn anymore and i don´t need an reactor Mod that give me an reactor that i can´t use most of the time and further more don´t let me use other like Arc Reactors. I use some other Mods like stone sifter and gravel sifter so the refineryblock that use an extreme amount of stone isn´t that practical too.

Imho, too weak and expensive to build and maintain compared to a deuterium reactor from the same author. Need a rebalance?

Thorium Refinery is slow when you do the ore not the stone any way to edit how fast it refind the ore or no settings for it?

PS:Finally found uranium after 12 hr of search only to be found a little but right next to me floating on earth gravity well a small asteroid

So I've been thinking a little bit. Since the ratio at which stone is refined in the thorium refinery is so high at like 100k:1, I was wondering where all the stone went. Refining kilotons of stone into a few kilos of thorium with no waste? Anyways, my thought was to create another resource. Call it waste or something, and make it an ingredient to another process maybe? Anyways, I don't have any specific ideas of what you could do with it, I'm just tossing out a thought, do with it as you will.

Uranium so freaking rare no days that I am having more luck hunting / buying uranium then finding it (I been exploring for a while and still no Uranium in this world)
on a side note I might find it on the alien planet or was it Mars where the uranium spawn

yep, it shouldn't replace uranium, should just be additive to asteroids and be in the random spawn pool

As an absolute nerd obsessed with the idea of thorium reactors in real life as a cheap, safe power source I will never stop loving this mod ever when my completely over the top application leads to it becoming overpowered, thank you so much for making this mod and keeping it up to date.

I just loaded up a world that uses this mod and everything went fine.

You may have a corrupted file.

Easiest way to fix this is to go here-

[Drive Letter] :\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\244850

and look for 805678675 then select it and do Shift+Del this skips the recycle bin and steam will auto download the mod again

this simple trick fixes 90% of problems

@mankol It seemed to work in my game and I use Better Stone v7.0.3f. The stone isn't changed at all so there really shouldn't be any impact.

At least you can refine stone to get some as well. Too bad Uranium doesn't work that way.
