For some reason, to me it only works if Byzantium civilization is NOT in the game. Any suggestions?

Regarding BlouBlou's earlier reply;

"There is no load order in civ 5 wich make it harder to make a mod load after another one. just clicking "enable" in the order you want wont do it.

To really do that. You must unsub from your custom civ mod and this mod and wait for them to uninstall and disappear from your list.

After that, Sub to your custom civ mod, let it download and install and then enable it.

Then (and only then) , subscribe to this mod, let it dowlload and install then enable it.

This mod make an update to all "traits" in the XML, if the update is passed before your trait is added to the database it wont be changed."

Yeah everyone, I confirm this works.
Completely uninstall this mod AND your custom civ mods, then reinstall the custom civ mods and finally subscribe to this mod. Blou, thank you for everything.
DDSOIF 19. nov. 2020 kl. 14:05
Can you make this mod compatible with Events and Decisions?
BlouBlou  [ophavsmand] 8. okt. 2020 kl. 12:25
@A Winged Hussar in Spirit

I think so! you must still download and enabled this mod after downloading and enabling your custom civ, as described in other comment response.
A Winged Hussar in Spirit 26. sep. 2020 kl. 14:25
Will this work for custom civilizations which don't have XML based traits and instead have their traits coded in lua or sql?
TiraboTurbos 15. juni 2020 kl. 1:19
IT WORKED! All I did was unsubscribe to this mod, then resubbed.:cozybethesda:
BlouBlou  [ophavsmand] 14. juni 2020 kl. 3:58
@Turbotown

Just follow what i explained to mackintosh. And yes it has to be loaded after all your custom civ
TiraboTurbos 14. juni 2020 kl. 2:07
Do we HAVE to uninstall EVERY custom civ first, too?
TiraboTurbos 14. juni 2020 kl. 2:06
So... couldn't we just unsub then resub and it'll work?
BlouBlou  [ophavsmand] 18. maj 2020 kl. 10:50
@mackintosh

Nice! hope you enjoy. have a good game :)
Mackintosh 17. maj 2020 kl. 10:33
Thx! that worked!

There is no load order in civ 5 wich make it harder to make a mod load after another one. just clicking "enable" in the order you want wont do it.

Good luck!

I'm having trouble using this mod with custom civs. I enable the mod after I enable the custom civs in the mods menu and it doesn't seem to fix it. Any other possible solution? Is there something i could do in the mod's files to make it load later?

@BlouBloue

I like to make a bug report. I'm playing with this mod along side the prehistoric ear mod and well yes it does work with most civs I have found that for some reason it does not work with the aztec civ. My guess is becuase the prehistoric mod changed them a bit to gain culture after they discoved leadership but otherwise idk why its not working. I used ingame editer to conferm this and disable ever other mod except for the 4 religous mods of yours, the prehistoric ear mod and ingame editer. So I don't know if to report the bug here or prehistoric ear. But if you could please fix this. There a religios game I wish to do with the aztec that would require that bounes belief.

@bear16

Its one of the behavior that a cache problem may have. Read the last section of the troubleshooting advice in the mod description for a clean cache.

Good day!
bear16 25. maj 2018 kl. 12:15
@Turbotowns

It stops working for me too after I disabled each and every mod and re-enabled them, but for some reason, a few games later, it worked again. I know that's not much help since I don't know what I did or didn't do to fix it, but it DOES still work, so maybe keep trying by uninstalling/disabling and reinstalling/re-enabling... Best of luck.
subhelios 24. jan. 2018 kl. 17:21
As an addendum to my previous comment, I do not believe that is what it was. Rather it is the 'post loading sql' that BlouBlou mentioned, as my setup worked with a different civ, but when i tried it with one of ViceVirtuoso's Share System-using civs, it didn't work. As that was the only difference it was easy to spot. A pity, too, because Noire's Lastation fits very well with my playstyle, but this mod (more accurately, the XML I borrowed from it) is more important to me than that civ is. So the mod works just fine, but an 'advanced' civ is going to have problems with it.
subhelios 24. jan. 2018 kl. 11:42
Is it possible for there to be an unfortunate interaction between this mod and one that removes the vanilla civs? That's about where I'm thinking I personally am having issues.
TiraboTurbos 6. jan. 2018 kl. 22:40
It stopped working for me too. Which is unfortunate.
梁稚子 7. juni 2017 kl. 12:18
It is work with superpower? Becasue when I loaded with superpower 5.7beta and it is not working. Can you fix it?
Rabid Mongoose 5. jan. 2017 kl. 21:58
anyone you can make one that works with CBP?
God Emperor D 1. dec. 2016 kl. 0:28
That's very unfortunate. It's not working for me either.
I think it's New Rules Historical Reality that's conflicting in my case.
BlouBlou  [ophavsmand] 22. sep. 2016 kl. 22:14
@Darktropper119

Multiple mod compatibility is always tricky. if the mod you mention use some Post loading SQL code or LUA it may be impossible to overwrite it unfortunatly.

Darktrooper119 17. sep. 2016 kl. 18:06
Ive hit a wall with this mod. I'm using ViceVirtuoso's Lastation mk2, and although I followed your provided steps for custom civs, I can't select a bonus belief (in fact, I cant havent noticed the AI selecting any either). I have tried various troubleshooting methods and none seem to have worked. Any suggestions?
BlouBlou  [ophavsmand] 3. juni 2016 kl. 14:44
@HeavyIsBlaziken

its probably a very simple issue, easily resolved, but as i said without information i cant help you except refering you to the troubleshooting section written in the mod description or mentioning classic mistake like not loading your modded game properly.

i can assure you that if you have all the requirement listed in the description and that you test the mod alone or with any ohter mod i made in a fresh new game, it will work properly.

This mod has been stable for years and it has many users.
HeavyIsBlaziken 3. juni 2016 kl. 7:41
It only worked once, and it doesn't work. Sorry, but it doesn't work for me after playing 1 game with it.
HeavyIsBlaziken 1. juni 2016 kl. 19:55
Actually, that's what I was playing: a modded playthough. It's showing up now. :3
BlouBlou  [ophavsmand] 1. juni 2016 kl. 18:26
@HeavyIsBlaziken

Probably because you load your modded game from the singleplayer menu.

Remember you start or load your game from the MOD menu every time you play, not the singleplayer menu.
HeavyIsBlaziken 1. juni 2016 kl. 8:50
Worked once for me, then it didn't work on eny other run.
BlouBlou  [ophavsmand] 27. mar. 2016 kl. 10:39
@Ser Lucas Avis ☭

No problem, id wish there was a way too! :)

Good day!
Ser Lucas Avis ☭ 27. mar. 2016 kl. 7:50
Ahh thanks BlouBlou, thought that might be the case, thanks for confirming :)
BlouBlou  [ophavsmand] 26. mar. 2016 kl. 20:40
@Ser Lucas Avis ☭

Unfortunatly, i dont think there a way or if there is, It would be a much more complicated and heavy mod.
Ser Lucas Avis ☭ 26. mar. 2016 kl. 13:34
BlouBlou, is there a way to increase the bonus to, say, 2 bonus beliefs?
BlouBlou  [ophavsmand] 25. jan. 2016 kl. 13:59
@Yor.Xander.Xavier

Your second prohet has a new option when you have already founded your religion, its called "enhance religion" that what let you choose additional beliefs.

Its not related to this mod since all it does is let you acces the byzantine extra belief wich you already chosen.

if you dont have an enhance religion option then the Ai must have chosen all available beliefs from a specific type, probablebly enhancers beliefs, it happen in normal games if you are the last to enhance your religion.

What i suggest is using the others mods in the same collection (see the link in the description) it will add roughly 90 beliefs to choose from and should prevent the number of belief to "run out".

Good day!

Xander Xavier 25. jan. 2016 kl. 11:23
The mod starts ok giving me an extra start belief. However I am not getting the option to add more beliefs when I get my second prophet. So I am stuck with only four beliefs:
healers
tithe
community
feed the world
The A.I. mostly seem to have five beliefs in their religions.
Suggestions?
An(tho)nie 19. nov. 2015 kl. 22:56
Is there any way of changing this mod so that the extra belief is unlocked by building a building instead of immediately when you found the religion. I want to make a wonder for a personal mod of mine that gives an extra belief upon construction.
Tainted 24. juli 2015 kl. 20:59
Ok thanks!
BlouBlou  [ophavsmand] 24. juli 2015 kl. 15:18
All free building are also free of maintenance in Civ.
Tainted 24. juli 2015 kl. 11:57
Do shrines still have maintenance costs?
manannin 18. mar. 2015 kl. 23:09
Thanks Blou! I've got it to work now.
BlouBlou  [ophavsmand] 18. mar. 2015 kl. 17:41
@tarak and manannin

Hi guys, when using custom civ, be sure to do the steps described in the mod description, about using custom civ. its very important or it wont work:

---------------------
If you use a custom civ from the workshop, make sure this mod is loaded AFTER the civ. Follow this procedure to do it:

Use the in-game GET MOD button.
Subcribe to your custom civ mod and wait for download to fully complete.
Click the ENABLE button to enable your custom civ mod.
Use the in-game GET MOD button.
Subcribe to Religion - Improved customization and wait for download to fully complete.
Click the ENABLE button to enable Religion - Improved customization.
Start a fresh new game from the mod menu.
------------------------

Also, some civ may use some SQL component that can cause incompatibility with this mod.

Regards
Tarak 18. mar. 2015 kl. 14:08
Same problem as manannin. I have some of JFD's Civs installed an it does not work with them.
manannin 7. mar. 2015 kl. 11:33
I'm playing with a number of added civs, and I've noticed some added civs are not able to get the bonus belief, not sure why. It's the colonial legacies Afghan mod that's having the issue.
AntiMeanies 1. mar. 2015 kl. 17:17
Just downloaded it, looks great! This mod got me thinking about the some of the other traits. Would it be OK if I had a go using this mod's code to make mods which do the same for some of the other traits (citting you of course)?
DeathStar012 25. jan. 2015 kl. 2:19
Even following the trouble shooting guide. I have problem with your mods. It's still not appearing. Maybe you could setup a dropbox or google drive where people could download your mods manually there and will just sync everytime you make an update to your mods? Just my opnion.

TU for this addition. You are a very thoughtful modder.
