Updated the About.xml but i doubt the core mod itself still works correctly since pathfinding has been touched upon in the meantime.

This mod has been long abandoned by the original author.

For better Pathfinding i suggest the current mod : "Perfect Pathfinding"

I need a mod like this that still works, I have roads built all over my settlement and watch my pawns walk through rough slate and soil the entire time, almost avoiding roads and several times walking DIRECTLY next to them along them to get to a destination, in a straight line, one tile over from a straight road, for freaking 50 tiles. All 50 paved, but no, through bushes and trees... Wtf?

This mod is not obsolete anymore. Improved pathfinding was ditched in recent vanilla versions as a cheap way to improve performance.

@Moddeus That is exactly why I am here. Colonists don't seem to care about trees being in their way at all. ESPECIALLY while being chased by something

このMODを使用すると100%ゲームが出来なくなります。

i'm not the author of the mod (i do know programming though) so no^^ and yes the mod is broken as i wrote, i just updated the .about.xml.

the mod is vanilla.

@Jaridan would it be possible if you could tweak the mod or make a new one that some how gets the pawns to perferr using a constructed path. my maps get really overgrown with plantlife and the paws completely ignore constructed paths and roads. would be nice if they didnt

I suggest updating the description and mod name to reflect that it's obsolete and in basegame . Use some big bold text or a heading or something.

I too just spent two hours discovering which mod was breaking my game.

I literally just changed the about.xml to include the current versionsnumber, the basecode of the algorithm is untouched, as the author is

ZHENTAR

and not me.

Idk if it will change anything, since the mod should be vanilla pathing as far as i know.

@Klamann this mod is now a Vanilla feature, there's "nothing" to update. If you believe it is then just go and change the about.xml to the newer gameversion.

But again this mod, in its entirety, is in the game now, vanilla.

I've stated it multiple times and it's at the top of the description.

THIS MOD IS INCLUDED IN THE BASE GAME AS OF A17.

I'd love to see an update for this mod. I know there have been some improvements to the pathfinding behaviour in A17, but it's still far from what Better Pathfinding provides. I have colonists walking through swamps all over again...

Clearly in A17 elephants are much more intelligent than my colonists when it comes to pathfinding. It was not the case in A16.

I'm not the creator but you can read the quote on the official forumthread that's also linked in the description.

As stated this is included vanilla now so there's no need for further updates.
