Love this map , would love to see it in action, if you can drum up the courage to have a look again. One of our clan mappers should be able to help you out as they've 'fixed' their maps after all the updates. It's unlikely we're getting more major updates so it should be a last ditch effort :)

actually it was "finished", but i dont know what happend after some updates of the game...

thats kinda hard comment from the devs. More maps are needed and more variation. So i agree
right now population looks growing slowly up max 1100 players online at the same time. before it was 500-700

the only thing they give was stupid comments in official statment to the contest maps :
"Some of the buildings are looking brand new and lacking a bit in making the map feel like a war zone. In some of the areas the map feels a bit like a theme park because of its joyful colors"

the places dont look like a warzone in the moment the battle begin and WW2 was not black and white... when i get such stupidness from the developers why i should still work and spend my time for this game? looks like they want just one kind of maps an no variation.

I wish NWI did something about these unfinished maps in the workshop after mapping contest, like give them some kind of boost (money, shoutout, whatever).... thiss way we would get sh*tton of maps to play on, thus making the game more populated

there is no bot support and will be no bot support in this map

cool map! I tried practice mode with bots and bots didnt spawn and the match ended right a way.

Please make coop and add more modes!

Yup Sosa you have done a grand job of recreating this, it would be great to see it in COOP mode is it something you might consider?

The game new version adds character to the skins, but after entering your map, there is no skin list so it can not enter the game

Unfortunately I can't spawn bots. I can do this with other maps.

alzhere // Normandie being Normandy is no problem at all. Think about it that there are cities like Cologne and Munich which are written and called completely different in english, man.

so many good memories playing "this" map on mohaa. sad the game died but it had been fun for years. i might have to buy DoI just to relieve memories of the good old times.

i think i will change the name after contest anyway so... its more or less the 1. map i finished but i play around in hammer since many years, it was mostly learning by doing

But it is a french place... why not call it by it's real name? I am English btw... love the map... how you get into building maps? Would love to give it a go myself.

i can make both versions i just choose americans because they where in the mohaa original and because i like half automatic rifle the brits unforunately dont have)

Would you consider changing your map to UK v. Axis? It's just that there's quite a lot of US maps, and the US already have a map set in Normandy. If you do do this, you could call the map Carpiquet or the name it after another village taking by the British when they attacked Caen. Since you said it takes place in a village near a city.

That's what im trying to say... A fictional name not a real one. Normandy is like naming your map "Texas" or "Switzerland"...

i dont think so because if i give it a name of a real village it should some how connected to it with some house or place in that. but the map is totally fictional. the description just shall give you an idea of setting

If it's "near" a city you can look around Cherbourg and Caen villages names and combine it a bit to do a hand crafted name ! It will be better than just Normandy...
