I love the concept and I understand its supposed to be based on a heavy cosmetic, but can there be multiple versions where the heavy emblem can be (optionally) changed to any of the other nine mercs emblems?

It's ultimately up to Valve and WeLoveFine to decide! If the idea gets enough positive votes, it will be considered to be put into production. As long as it's an idea that's easy to make, it's more feasible that way!
