I was disappointed to say, nothing happened during the eclipse. That it did not get darker.
It simply covered up the sun. I waited until the moon started to not block the sun and still nothing.
thanks Gwindalmir :-)
"moon: AN ERROR OCCURRED! Please report to server admin! Admin: look for moon.log."
And moon.log reeds:
[04:39:43.690] Starting new session: moon
[04:39:43.693] Scaling moon to: 1.6
[04:39:50.061] Created moon entity successfully.
So where is the error when the log says that it is working?
The game is playable but guests are unable to see the moon or it's corresponding HUD marker.
The previous method I was using is broken, and just doesn't work, despite no errors provided.
The game's own logging is prohibited, so I can't even log to the main log file.
Once the logging is fixed, I can have a shot at debugging that problem.
I apologize for the delay on that. I don't even know why it doesn't load to begin with, there's no reason why it shouldn't.
DS can add it, and it'll get sent to players, but DS doesn't nothing with it specifically.
I'm surprised it has an issue, I'll look into it.
Along with oceans on a planet, this would be great if it would work.
i freaking love watching the moon in the night sky above my torch-light villages =)
though as im playing with a friend locally hosted the moon only appears for me. could you think of a way to get this running for multiplayer? in singleplayer he sees it just as i do
Night in 0.6 is much darker than 0.5.xx which is very cool I think. Would be nice if there was some way the moon could cast light depending on how much it's lit. I don't know if the game allows for that kind of thing though.
it is only visible during day...:o
not sure what is wrong.. if I am doing something bad or if an update has caused the moon to be day-active...:)
my reason to write this, is that I'd like the moon to be "active" during night as well...:)
When loading into a new world, you might not see it depending where you spawn.
Switch to spectator and zoom out, or wait an in-game day to see if you see it.
The model doesn't have very many polygons, and the texture isn't that large, I have no idea why it would lag.
