Really? That'd be wonderful! Fixing this addons already janky energy pellet code was unmanageable, but scaling it back to just be the elevators would be pretty easy.

Hi! Seems like Rubat actually natively added in proper functionality for the energy pellets. The elevator portion is still relevant, though.

A gmod update broke it. I looked into it recently, but I've honestly lost track of how it worked in the first place, let alone what went wrong. That other issue where they keep spawning has been noticed, I've no idea why that happens either.

It's a brush entity, you can't place those anyways. It's entirely possible to make addons that add map only entities, I've done it in this exact mod! But yeah, it's weird, I've no idea what's going on :<

Emancipation grills work in portal 1 for me. maybe it's just a portal gun mod but considering you can't place them or anything I'm not sure about that. Anyway it seems like its only a problem in chamber 15, checked chamber 8 and yeah it works fine.

Emancipation Grills are not in Half life 2 or Gmod. Their basic functionality is easy to recreate, but it's not there by default. If it's in gmod, it was 100% added by another addon, and I cannot change it's behavior from another addon. Nor could I really change the behavior of the energy ball with it, anyways.

I popped open gmod, enabled all the debug print lines, and tested it out. It looks like it's functioning as intended from the code side, it even works properly in test chamber 8, but I have no idea whats going wrong or how to tell whats going wrong in the levels were it does not work. Just something about "ERROR!: Can't create physics object for models/effects/combineball.mdl". Not sure why that is...

when the high energy pellets shoot they do this explosion effect and is creating lua errors for me

Emancipation grids are added by seperate addons that I don't have access too. Find out which mod adds the emancipation grid, and ask them to allow combine balls to pass through them.

the pellet just gets stuck in the pellet firerer thingy and i can only move it with the physgun. Can you attempt a workaround or a fix/patch?

Sorry to complain, it's just that when the pellets are fired they won't move by themselves. I need to use the physgun to make them move.

wellp the energy pellets themselves are unable to move and remain locked in place from where they are supposed to get shoot'd from, also tried to move them myself with the powered up gravity gun addon to see if i could shoot them myself into where they are supposed to go however it doesnt seem to work that way if i want to activate stuff with the energy pellets i have to use the physics gun, grab the pellet and very slowly place it in the energy receivers only then will these work and activate stuff within the level, so far ive not been able to find any other issues

Gmod updates have broken a lot of my addons unfortunately. I'm really out of practice when it comes to making them, so I'm not even sure I could fix them at this stage... What specifcally is broken? Maybe I can think of a workaround

Yeah, its' really easy to forgot that fizzlers aren't just native to the HL2/Gmod code. It caught me by surprise when I first found out too :L

Yeah, this is a known issue. Fizzlers are often added by another addon (usually Portal Gun addons), so I can't modify them myself. Since the easiest way to make a fizzler is to have it destroy all physics objects, and HEPs are physics objects, they get destroyed. Maybe contact the author of your preferred portal gun addon; they might be able to fix the fizzlers to work with HEPs.

hey, I tried to do a playthrough with this, and noticed a slight issue-The HEP's can't go through fizzlers. That's something they have to do to complete some chambers. just thought I'd make you aware.

@UnderTale_Frisk This add-on only works when you have Portal (1) installed, and mounted.
It just fixes the Energy Pellets and elevators, because without it, only the elevator's doors can be seen, and the energy pellet emitter doesn't emit anything.
