It is very satisfying to know that ,mate. I'm glad I can help.

No worries.

By the way, I've been using these for a long time, and they're still one of the most useful mods ever for SE. I like to use the "Deep Space 4k" mod to get a darker night, so these lights are very useful, while also adding gameplay/roleplay at the same time. Thanks for that.

Omg, those kids dont learn, do they? I'm gona check it out, thx for the info.

Are you aware that this has been re-uploaded with no credit and (it seems) just a colour change?

Brilliant Idea!! Have you tried it lately to see if it still worked with this version?
Oh briliant cool thanks :)

You can switch your saves from survival to creative vice versa any time. The best option to use it on your survival game is by switching it to creative, spawning the grid and then switching back to survival again.
I figured out the problem, it wont fit on a a small grid size when using a projector so its been chopping a bit of hence it not working, any way i can get it to fit into a small projector? otherwise i cant figure out how to build it in my survival game :( Had a play with it in creative though and it is awesome :)

Ah well if i cant get it into my survival game this time around, ill spawn a few in creative first on my next new save game :)
@Rhapsodyy. The key for it to work is the timer blocks, pistons, rotors and buttons configuration. I recommend you to spawn it on creative mode and then change your save to survival mode. If you try to build it with a projector on survival mode you will have a lot of trouble to make it work.
Looks amazing, just wish i could get it to work, must be doing something wrong, built it all no parts missing but nothing happens when i hit a button :( great work though look forward to when i can figure it out :)

Complete Space engineers noob bought it way back when it was bare bones and just came back to be really impressed with how far along the game has come :)

@ghostwarrier10
With timer blocks, yes.
how do you get the 2 rotors at the top top to work together
@Co.Dex
Its pretty easy, mate. The same way u set itens or its functions to a grid hotbar, u will set the timer block actions. For exemple, imagine a situation that u need to extend 2 pistons with a single button, all u need to do is to set the "extend" action of both pistons into a single timer block action bar, then u just need to setup the desired button with the action "trigger now" (to trigger the actions without the countdown) or "start now" (to trigger with the countdown) of that timer block. So, when u hit the button, will trigger the timer block and then both pistons will extend. For more coordinated tasks you can setup timer blocks to call other timer blocks or even itself. Its pretty usefull.
Sgt Major Johnson 2016
this is somethuing im definatly gonna sub to but how do you set up the timer blocks ? :D
@macgabhann74 uhhm actualy look for a new darker skybox, iam using something called "perfect dim" search it in the work shop. it makes dark be dark, and light be light.. but be absolutly sure you want this, no light means no light. you wil seriously not even see the drill in from of your face if you turn your spotlight off in a closed room or cave with no lightsource, or at night. beware of sudden mountains when flying ;) Spot lights are your friend \o/
@nacgabhann74
Try turning ON the day/night cycle. I designed it to be used at night btw.
well this would be an ideal thing to have if it wasnt already daylight underground I wish they would get ride of the ambiant lighting then things like this would be necicary as it is right now sometimes I can almost see better with the personel light turned off and thats just not very realistic, but if we can get away to remove the daylight underground issue ill definitly have to subscribe to this then. or maybe someone on here knows how to fix that issue??

Thx u all for the support, guys!
I like this! Seems very applicable.
@Lynnette
Thats exactly what I've done, mate. Even on the screenshots you can notice the many timer blocks I used on it to make it fully automatic. Every button trigger a timer block that start an automatic sequence.
[TSF] Mason 1290 2016
Oh no. It didnt have a mounted script. It was just a script block instead of buttons. If you didnt get the hint. Iv made something like this already. Pistons and rotors and all. But mine is timer block. And i use another set of timer blocks to make the lamp turn left and right automaticly.
Michel de la compta 2016
very usefull
I like the concept, although it's not exactly what I expected. I thought it's a block but when I see it it was a small ship!
We call them light alls in the military, they also provide 115 power for what ever, throw a merg block on there to allow small vehicles to charge while deployed.
@Lynnette
I didnt see your script yet, could u share it?
[TSF] Mason 1290 2016
what. was my script version or timer block version too dificult to use?
PS. A really good build. Not sure I would use it for mineing but has lots of potential for building and constuction progects.
I too use a mine entance I find it defines the mine entance and stops me from wasting time expanding the mine entance more than I need to. I also Like to extend the grid down to bottom of the mine useing sloped bloks. I dont generally bother to weld them all up I find this helps me to get back out of the mine without useing me jet pack. My origenal purpose for a surface structure is its easy to find if you have to travel any distance from your bass.
@IndustrialDonut
Thats exactly what Vaagventje said, its a cheap support structure that also grants a leveled terrain to place anything u need, like the PLS1. Besides that, I personaly like to build a cargo container on that structure with a connector system so I can load the ores on it instead of traveling the drill all the way back to base when full (you can see that on the screenshot too). When the cargo container is full, I use a cargo grid like the CV-132 Orca to bring the ores to the main base.
@IndustrialDonut
I actualy do that around my dig sites, but its not for fancy, its more so that my vehicle doesnt acidently drop in. or to ad a grid all teh way downstairs in to your mining hole to extend light or even a small conveyor network to get the ore topside if you mine by hand down there. or for smaller mining ship to dock and lock on to while a bigger vehicle is topside waiting to be loaded.
so yeah in survival it is done. And since its costs you almost nothing more than a few steel plates it usualy is nice to have somekind of structure around your mine. or inside even. like you aint got 10000 steel plates laying Around.
@IndustrialDonut

never seen it done anywhere in survial
only seen it for fancy builds and what not
Is it common practice to build a perimeter around your dig site as shown in the screenshots? I'm not familiar with this and I'm very curious as to whether I'm not playing space engineers as intelligently as I could be lol, so what is that for exactly? Other than to place the light structure on I guess..
now if only vanilla lights had a usefull range

I'm glad to help, guys, and ty u for the support. Playing on a survival game or even a creative one within an environment with day/night cicle usually lead people to problems with lighting. I designed this grid with the intention to help you out on this problematics. I'm happy to see its working.
