Testing the revive on several of my missions. Quick question, when downed, are you guys pressing 'H' to request revive from the AI? It should force an AI unit to come to you. It's been working for me so far. If pressing 'H' has not been working, then let me know. Thanks!
@inleso
Dynamic simulation enabled for this mission, which disables units based on your object view distance (not your overall view distance). I can see how this could affect long-range engagements at the factory complex. I will be making adjustments soon.
I will look into these issues. I believe the revive system needs to be updated to the current version of AIS for all my missions. Thank you for reporting!
Is this some script acting buggy and deactivating units based on the distance?
Top tier work.
Thank you for letting me know. I'll update the mission soon.
That does help. Thank you for the info!
This issue was reported a few months ago on my other OPTRE mission. I looked into it and did not find where the issue could be coming from, nor could I replicate it. However, I will look into it again. Thank you for reporting the issue!
turns out, using vcom AI makes this incredibly hard. though i honestly wish more creators used VCOM AI as a staple and designed their missions around that mod. it's quite amazing, as we know arma 3's AI isn't all that....which would be an understatement.
This mission has now been updated to work with the latest version of OPTRE. If there are any other issues then please let me know. Thank you!
Thank you for bringing this issue to my attention! I'm not affiliated with the OPTRE mod itself so I'm out of the loop when it comes to the mod being updated. I'll be sure to update this mission as soon as I can.
Enjoyed every moment right up to the evac :)
One of my fav OPTRE expriences, thank you !
This is a mission that uses assets from the OPTRE mod, and is not a mod itself. Unfortunately, the UNSC ships were removed from the OPTRE mod a while ago.
I updated the mission and fixed the CTD issue. It should be all good now.
Thanks, that helps a lot. I know you can't do anything with the AI, I was just providing context for why I had to restart. AI's dumb as shit in ARMA 3.
I'm sorry you are experiencing difficulty playing the mission. Two of the 4 bombs are inside the factories. There are only two rooms inside the factories. One being the small room that sticks out from the main building and the other being a room to the right of that small room (See image below). That could be where your missing bomb is located. Here is a picture from the Arma Wiki of the factory building for reference:

As for the AI getting stuck, that is something I cannot correct as that is an Arma issue. What I've found that fixes them not responding is downing them, moving them from their current downed position, and then reviving them. Hope all this helps.
The first time, I disarmed all the explosives and went and killed everyone at the other location, and then when I got to the rendezvous, two teammates refused to board.
I restarted it, and on the second time, I was able to find three bombs but not the last. I checked both factory buildings, and only one of them had a bomb. Both of the white buildings had their bombs, and that was it. I could absolutely not find the last one. I don't know if I was just lucky the first time, or if the game messed up and didn't put the last one in.
The third time, I had restarted it, got all the way to the factory again, and the same thing happened in the same exact way. Am I going insane?
Oh ok that makes sense. Thank you for letting me know!
I have no idea why the Pelican would target you. Arma A.I. is very random sometimes haha! I'm sorry that happened to you! I'll see if I can replicate the issue at some point.
I understand the frustration, and that is very strange that your friend cannot join you nor be invited by you when you play my mission. You are the first to voice this kind of issue. Does your friend get an error when he tries to join you? If so, what does the message say? A suggestion I have is to try to play without ACE and OPTRE ACE Combat. The mission was not designed nor tested with ACE so I cannot account for issues that could occur with a large game-changing mod like that. If that does not work, try to play with only CBA and OPTRE active and nothing else. Let me know if need any more assistance.

Connection problems in Arma are caused either by the server or the connecting client and not by missions. If you are locally hosting this mission, then I would suggest tampering with the port you are hosting through and/or enabling UPNP if it's enabled on your router. Also, make sure that your friend is at least using the required mods.
Glad you liked it! I'm not sure what the low FPS was being caused by. It could be any number of things. I still need to include dynamic simulation into most of my missions. That should help increase FPS.
As far as I know they removed the colonial police in version 0.17 of OPTRE. The "colonial police" in this mission are just AAF soldiers wearing police gear assigned to them from a loadout script I wrote.
