@RhysTheExiled Silver weapons have enchantments, so you will probobly need arcane smithing perk to advance them

doesnt show up when im at grindstone. do i need a perk before i can do it.

I just wanted to say that my second attempt at making my own Silver Smithing mod was a success and because of this I am no longer going to be using your mod..

however I have no intention of unsubscribing to the first Skyrim mod I ever subbed to :)

I just wanted to personally thank you for all the years I have been using this mod :)
I care a lot about the Silver Swords in Skyrim which is why I was driven to make my own mod in the first place

Hi I wonder if you can help me out a little here
I have attempted to make a similar mod to this one (with some changes) but it seems like I've hit a problem that I don't know how to fix..

My Mod is more or less the same as yours.. allows the crafting of Silver Swords.. but the crafting materials are different.. I use steel ingots instead of Iron

but the main difference is that im attempting to to add a Silver catagory to the smithing menu that unlocks with the Steel smithing perk..

the problem im having is that when I activate my mod I can't use Forges anymore.. my character completely fails to interact with them..

did you also have this problem when you made this mod?
if you did could you tell me how to fix it?
im a noob at modding so I have no idea how to fix this problem :(

also to the modder thank you for your faboulos work my dawnguard paladin/companion is now alot more dangerous.

@sent from hell i think this mod was made for those who like the silver texture and perhaps slay alot of vampires.

guys heres ssome advice - just go get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ skyforge steel swordput it on a grindstone and thats a 1 shot power attack without sneaking and is only like 21 weight

I upgraded it to fine but now it says I lack what I need to bring it up farther so what skill do I need to improve this more?

Does anyone know how to undo a bug that sounds like i just casted a healing spell on myself or just got hit with an ice spell that never goes away? If anyone has any idea that would be awesome because in all honestly it just ruins the audio experience of the game. (not a bug related to this mod i'm pretty sure)

I hardly think that the enemy of the Companions the Silver hand cn forge a weapon better than Eorland Greymane or that he couldnt do one better...If they can do it Eorland can do it better and the new Harbinger learns from the best.

I was going to ask, is there any possibility of making a version with unenchanted silver weapons? I like the look of the swords, but I would like to have some other enchantments there.

This is exactly what i was looking for, I basicaly wanted to be able to start a new player and act like the Silver Hand or the Vigilants of Stendarr without having to kill anyone form either faction. So this is great! However I was also wondering if you could make a light armor version? Thanks alot and keep up the good work! :)

Hey guys, sorry about dropping the ball. I was contacted by a fellow modder who wanted to undertake it for himself. I'm not sure about the details of his mod, but keep looking.

In the meantime, I have no clue how to model/texture at all and I'm sorry for anyone who was hoping I would pull through. This mod will probably be left as is!

gem stone hilts please. also could you make these silver weapons lunar forge and skyforgable? or maybe build your own special forge for quick silver weapons.

This is a great idea for a mod. Maybe model the two-handed axe after one of the dwarf's axe from LOTR or the Hobbit.

great mod, what would be really great for me would be if you could do a collaboration with PrivateEye and his Heavy Armoury mod to add silver quarterstaffs, shortswords etc. He has added new smithing categories in that btw so he might tell you how if you asked... idk anything about it as I'm no modder myself! Anyway keep up the good work mate!

How about craftable silver crossbow and silver bolts?

personally i have always like swords that look like captin kids sword from assasin's creed 3 so if you could pull that off i would give you some serious respect

Hey im using this mod in a collection and you want me to take it out tell me.

One thing you could do to make the weapons look unique is by making the dimensions on the hilt edges more like boundaries or something like that

i always thought it was weird you couldn't temper the silver swords
looking forward to a silver weapon set, i would absolutly LOVE a silver mace :)

Silver weapons in TES games traditionally do the same damage as Steel to everything but are able to damage undead, werewolves, ghosts etc whereas steel didn't until Skyrim. In Skyrim, silver does extra damage against Undead only. There is another mod where they do the same damage as Orcish, but that is overpowered by the time you factor in 100 Smithing and items and potions that boost damage by nearly 300%, and then add all the combat perks.

Good work, but the swords should be less green colored and a bit more silver colored since they are supposed to be SILVER swords. Also some polishing wouldn't hurt either. Glad to see this nice looking sword finally get some attention.

@Ezio, in that case they should also be very very expensive, I think. Much moreso than any sort of steel weapon.

I have a small bug. I am unable to mine some ore veins while this mod is active, I don't know if it's a bug of the mod or a conflict with another, but deactivating seems to fix the issue. Does anyone else encounter this problem?

What would be awesome is to make a silvered version of each of the weapons. It takes the same amount of silver ingots as it does to make the weapon, and enables any enchants on the weapon/armour to have a +25% bonus. Do the same for gold, except a 50% bonus. Example, robes enchanted with +50% magicka regen gets an extra 12.5% with silver, an extra 25% with gold.

Great, I still think that the silver weapons should be at a higher base damage, though. Something better than Dwarven would suit well, since silver is structurally stronger than gold and bronze are. (I think.)

is the improvement tied to a perk on the smithing tree? (aka like how in the vanilla game Dwarfen smithing allows you to improve dwarfen items twice as much, etc)

You could make the silver armor reflect damage to undead.
