I liked it very much so I'm gonna play your original version to see what changes were made.
THis pack replaces the standard files. But there's not a great way to properly do it to be honest.
why the sizes are different? seems like these are the same 2 mods

I restarted the game and it still does that.
I also deactivated any other sound mods.
I teste this, and this was the only workable option for me rightnow
See the issue with l4d2 engine is that, either you have to use exact the length of wave files to replace the stock ones with or else it will have cuts, what you can hear in some files because i'm not able to cut them nicely. Then there's no way to include a soundcache that will tell the engine to use different custom timings unless you include an entire campaign.
My mates and I have custom music for Tanks, and 'tank.wav' is instantly obviously different from 'taank.wav'. We all hear as little as none to about 1s of 'taank', and then it starts the normal 'tank'.
Strange oddity with that addon. If you don't use that Addon and you have that problem, who knows.
