Hey @Scwirul I got a few questions for ya. First, am I able to edit this map, its for a server and they want me to make it into a RP map, is that alright? Second, when I got the insane map template with your map it was all buggy like the actual land was not within the borders. do you think its because I might of used a different Insane map template.If you see this please contact me on discord Windex#7640

@yraykhman Unfortunately, as a short answer it’s probably no. I haven’t changed anything on the map for quite a while, so I may try to bring it back up to date at some point. If I do any big mapping it’ll be on another (unreleased) map which is taking me ages 😰.
Also my computer is kinda broke at the moment so gotta get that fixed 😬

@destroyer56 Unfortunately not, although I'd be happy for them to. I don't have as much free time as I used to - and I'd love to work on it more... I'll try and get a big update done soon.

Maybe add in a large cave system? Alaska has quite a few of them. One of which is a Glacier cave, completely frozen walls in a tunnel, spanning miles in all kinda twists and turns.

They should make a moon map :P

@TBOSACR I've placed zombies in the city (as of yet unnamed / fictional...) . They're the same ID's and entities that all the other zombies are placed with, however they don't seem to appear. I have no idea why. It's annoying me. They appear in the editor just fine, and were placed when I updated some of the buildings (of which the changes do appear)...

Is the town in the bottom left (I assume it is Fairbanks, being the only major alaskan city I know that isn't coastal) unfinished or something? Because theres no zombies there and a bunch of loot.

P.P.S. I'm really not keen on the idea of localised snowfall, as I think that would detract from some level of immersion... If an area of a map is 'always' snowy, it becomes expected and never changes. I know there's snow at a certain height, but I really tried to carefully tune that in order to retain visibility in certain parts. If one person is in an area with snow/fog, and someone else a few hundred meters away with a sniper, the person in the area without localised snow/fog has a clear advantage over the person with reduced visibility. Hope that makes sense...

P.S. As for anyone asking for the Aurora Borealis, I'm honestly not ignoring you, but I seem to have developed a noob approach in my recent negligence of Unturned mapmaking and can't for the life of me work out how to get it to appear. I assume it's an effect I'd have to apply to the whole / areas of the map with a specific code... Nowhere online can I find a reference for any specific code or way to make it appear. Trust me, I looked for a while. If anyone can help, let me know!

Oops! When I recently updated the map... I forgot to replace the chart. I'll do that now.

Why did you renew the old chart it was so cool now it's just a plain green chart with purple spots on. (Rocks)

@Tosh Ok, I've added zombies and a little bit more detail to the city... However the zombies aren't appearing for me. I've no idea why - they're the same as all the other zombies in the map. I hope it works for you!

@scwirul It is Alaska you know, and how you made it showed that it's really snowy, so the fact that if you add the allways snowing effect, I think it would get people the feeling of how Alaska is during the winter.

@rocketflair I specifically only wanted it to snow at higher altitudes, I don't know about everyone else - but I really wanted to concentrate on views and environment, the fog that comes in with snow would destroy that :/

I think this map would be great if it snowed all the time like the old Yukon, then the map would proably be the best, and also make snow vehicles
