The units are overpowered, too much abilities, morale etc.

Hey, Jacob. Would you mind updating your workshop contents? That will be great! Have a good one!
mister.monroeville 2018 年 9 月 29 日 上午 12:37
Just bought all the DLC on sale, so now I'll finally be able to try this mod. The units look great, and they definitely augment Rome's lineup well.

Your previous mods I've used have all been exceptional, so I've no doubt this one will be just as awesome. Thanks for your work, as always.

Why do soldiers feet and horse legs occasionnaily get clipped? I noticed this several time in various mods. Also, it is annoying when helmet neck guards, shields, spears go through hands, bodies while in non-combat or stationary. I am not a modder so not sure why these things cannot be fixed.
Shields seem to be small for most units and oval shields are too narrow oval (including vanilla). Per scholarly records shields should be large, wide, usually dished, ovoid and only sometimes round. Best shield design is in this mod: http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=883104300 . But it applies only to vanilla units and I think it is an unfinished mod. I wish all shields in all mods looked similar with select few which are supposed to be round.

In any case, thanks for a great work with modding!

muy buen mod, sigue trabajando asi gracias.
Alexander The Greek 2017
It would be better if you didn't put all the units in both factions so, some units be unique for one faction.
I don't know if you'll answer this question, but shouldn't the Comes Africae look like North Africans (ie. Semitic, Roman, Libyan)? As far as I know Africa describes the Maghreb region in general and Carthago and settlements around it specifically. The comes africae unit looks like they have been sourced from Nobatia and Ethiopia.

@mesut.sayar070: I will try and fix the clipping issues, in my tests I didn't see any :p. Please send me some pictures of the specific units and I'll fix all of them!

@Danniel: Just got a new laptop, so I will adjust it as soon as I have the time and appropriate programmes!
Amazing mod :) However there are issues with a few units with missing lower arms..and elbows.. Quinta Macedonica is one of those units. any chance of a fox? ;D
Hello, im enjoying your mod so much, but let me suggest you two things:
AOR like Radious, having all units available in every settlement at once along with other mods may blank the building hover window, this happened to me so i had to add AOR for your units, for example Tertia Iulia Alpina and Sequani at Maxima_Sequanorum, Septimani to Narbonensis, etc
Two unit ideas:
Lanciarii Honoriani Gallicani (medium tier 2 spearmen)
Milites Ripenses/Limitanei (light tier 1 spearmen) i find very unaccurate the lack of limitanei
Also i found bugfixes, two unit icons missmatch (Comes Africae and Taifali equites) both use melee infantry icons
Kello 2017
create other new units for ERE and WRE??
General Nathanael Greene 2017
Hello! I deeply enjoy this mod, it adds great depth to the game! I did notice one thing though: the quinta macedonica sword unit appears to have some of the soldiers' arms missing/ invisible. I think you can see it in your preview images. But this is a small thing, though i'd point it out. Well done on this regardless!

@Legend Of Rome II: Just accepted you, message me if you have any ideas! Or leave a comment ;)

@Tristan: I haven't had the problem myself, and I always play with the mod. I'm pretty sure it must be interfering with some mods in your data folder!

@Dodsjocke and @The_Art_Of_SG: As soon as my laptop and modding software are in working order, I'll get to that right away. I'll keep you guys posted on the progress.

@Byeforever: Fixed the link in the description ;)
@Constantine: It might be because you use some mods other than radious, I personally haven't encountered that problem (yet) and I play with my all of my mods constantly. You can send me a private message as well if you'd like, and we can discuss the issue more specifically!
Hey guys, I've been away for quite some time due to an extremely busy year at uni. I finally got the cash to fix my decent laptop, so it should be in working order soon, and I will be able to start modding again :) (mind you, it make take some time).

I'll get back to all of your points now haha
Can you make a Sparten Unit for the Eastern Roman Empire? I look forward for your well made mods to come out soon.
Hey your link to your other mods in the description on this one is broken.
Hi, really nice mod! I like the historical relevance!
Are you planning on adding more historical units to the game?
For example foederati units or barbarian units?
First thank u so much, u do great work!
Could u make the palatina guard (Normally only generals can use them as a bodyguard) recruitable as a normal unit? I love their appearance especially the shields and it would be great to have them in the game.
Can you make a late romano-hellenistic pike unit that romans and persian factions can recruit? Would be really cool!
Any chance you can get back to my problem? Are all your units seprated (I mean they are not tied to some stadart units) ? Cause I've only able to recruit Invicti Iuniores Brtannicai now.
Maybe you can also make all this units recruitable from city/town level 2 or higher?
Nice to see a debate going on here in terms of historical accuracy. Keep up the good work!
Do all this units require upgrades in the military tree?
Also, I've got doube cards form some standart units, guess they should be units from your packs.
For some strange reason, I can't levy all units from this pack and also Elite Western Legionaries, Elite Desert Legionaries, Late Praetorian Guardsmen, Equites Sagittarii Romani, units from Mauri pack and some of the British Auxilia units.
BUT units that I've already recruited are still in my armies.
Any help?

AAAAAND?
And I don't get offended by someone else's opinion. But leather armor is simply wrong.

I mean granted, at best you're using reskins of the default attila assets, which are crappy to begin with (stealth4health and I have been working on making better assets for a while now).
[47e] Delenda Sunt 2016
Holy crap man those are a lot of posts. lol
Here is one of the more recent debates on Leather Musculata, one where we pretty effectively showed that it is complete and utter bullshit.

Sorry I meant the Dura Europos helmet, not Deir El Medineh which was found alongside the Leiden Mueseum example and is also of uncertain date.
BTW Thanks for the link to that article I didn't have it in English. In the words of Greivous "I look forward to adding it to my collection."
You use Baldenheims on several of the units here which are not historically accurate before approximately 450 (assuming the typical 1 generation prior to the deposit date is the appropriate range of use).

I am also quite aware of the Deir El Medineh helmet and it is usually reconstructed wrong, thanks to that article. It didn't have a noseguard, it had attachments for a fully enclosing maille coif. Eran ud Turan has a correct reconstruction.
5. The Dura Europos fragments are 50x70cm each which is much too big to be a thigh guard. Nadeem Ahmad knows more about them than I do.

6. This is a Baldenheim, The earliest, in fact, from Stuttgart, c. 470 Deposit Date:

http://www.linternaute.com/musee/image_musee/540/53394_1334879799/casque-de-baldenheim.jpg

This is a typical Spangenhelmet, of uncertain date (3rd-7th centuries), from Leiden. Most known examples (Sinj, Novae, Iadar) date to the 6th. Leiden probably dates tot he 4th.

http://legio-iiii-scythica.com/images/gcw/pic_9.jpg

Here's the Sinj Helmet

1. The men who supplied their own gear are called Foederati and were not listed in the official field army registrars. The Sagittarii Syrorum were not a local unit they were a professional field army regiment.

2. I have debated the leather armor thing myself and there is absolutely no argument. You can go on Total War Center and read the 5-6 threads where we proved there is not even a logical basis for the use of leather armor let alone a historical one.

3. That's not a phalera plaque that's a decorative cavalry harness fitting. Of uncertain provenance.

4. The "Spangenhelmets" on Trajan's column are Ribbed helmets made of 1 piece bowls with brass ribbing. We've found examples of them in the crimea. They eventually become spangenhelmets.
Laminata, as well as segmentata, are both perfectly acceptable terms. I appreciate constructive criticism, but I feel like I'm almost offending you by having a different opinion. An opinion that I, by the bye, can support with valid arguments, as you support your opinion with valid arguments as well.
By the way, as early as Trajan's time spangenhelmets were documented (the archers on his victory collumn wore early versions of them), and actual roman spangenhelmets can be seen as depicted on the arch of Galerius, worn by many of his soldiers. So it isn't at all unthinkable that with the importation of the Persian helmet types into Rome at the beginning of the fourth century and the developments they went through that the spangenhelm became more widely used in the Roman military by the end of the fourth and beginning of the fifth century.

Perhaps a thorough reading of this article will provide you with some new insights.
Leather Musculata's again, are debateable. I'm not going into this again, I know there is a heated debate going on and I don't feel like discussing this anymore in depth on a steam workshop comment section, as that isn't going to get either of us anywhere.

No there weren't auxiliaries in the early imperial sense of the word, but in late anitquity even full and documented members of the Roman army included local (especially as the West neared its collapse, Frankish and Germanic) tribesmen who supplied their own gear.

Here is a link https://www.etsy.com/nl/listing/475264459/early-byzantine-bronze-military-phalera where you can even buy an early Byzantine phalera. So yes they exist.

The findings at Dura Europos weren't conclusive: The fragments were *probably* (sarmatian) horse armour, but there is no telling for sure.
