Your mod seems to crash the game whenever I access the crafting menu as an admin. Best to remove the invisiblematerial.recipe file, since that seems to be a common issue for other people.

@Pipann Well my modding skill isn't great, but I know many great modders resources that could help you with creating a mod (and ugh I can't give you links (beacuse well stream) but you can easily google it):


1) Classic Dr. Skittles's templates. This author has many useful mod templates. The most popular are the basic race template and an advanced one. Many race authors there were based or learned the basics of race mods just by using them and checking stuff out. Definitely give it a try.

2) On the Chucklefish forum (official game dev forum) you can find two useful e-books: Unofficial SB Mod Ebook and Starbound DETAILED Modding E-book v0.7.7. Those two are useful to teach many basic and bit advanced stuff related to SB modding

3) About dungeons and other structures. Use version 1.1.6. of Tiled, not higher because SB would have a problem to read data from never version of this program. Also well I lack more info about this field, better google it.

Since the show is now officially over and we have all the lore we need for a major update, but the mod appears abandoned, I would be down to try my hand at revisiting this mod. I have zero experience in code and starbound modding though. I'm just good at visuals. Somebody out there with the necessary knowledge willing to give me a hand and get this collaboration underway?

Oh, and obviously: permission from authors to pick up the mod where they left it off? :)

how do I spawn gem NPCs? like, what code do I use I tried Spawnnpc Gem Villager but it doesn't work. I also can't figure out where or how to craft Gem stuff. could you help please?

really like this mods style but please consider adding cuter eyes like the anime mod please. the normal beady eyes look bad.

hmmm how about a smol/large form to pick from?
That'd make three different choices..... Maybe extra large, although being a diamond might be difficult but could work if their was functional minions.

(on another note I'd maybe like to see different forms of each kind of gems, could take awhile but it's never easy. This humble show deserves a complete unique experience and meeting all the gems being it's own special reward. Steven would be on the Smol side but still awesome. <3 )

okay I also have 2 more ideas now: Gem destablizer rack (piece of furniture), and that instead of getting the broken broadsword as a starter weapon you choose a gem weapon as your starter thats the color of your gem, and it can be upgraded with a forge. Thank you for this mod again by the way.

I would code the ideas stated in my previous comment myself but I sadly am not nearly good enough at coding to do so.

I know this is a unrealistic idea, but itd be cool if there were a gem exclusive side quest you could do instead of the main story. It could involve making a gem colony. It could add a special "Make a gem colony" option when veiwing a planet on the console on a fully upgraded ship. On these colonies you could build gem structures and kindergartens. There could be a remote controlled gem injector that you could fill with craftable fluid. Common gem fluid (ex. Ruby,amethyst) could be cheap to make while rare gem fluid (ex. sappire, agates) could be more expensive. The injectors could inject anywhere you want and you could make a kindergarten. A more realistic request would just be that tenants are homeworld randomly generated, and not look like crystal gems, and more furniture. It could also be cool if during combat other gems could fuse with each other. Sorry for the long comment but I just adore this mod and hope that you can update it soon. is there a version of make starbound a cuter place? I love this mod but I just can't with beady eyes in my game lol, btw really nice work!!

I'm finding it difficult to work on it at the moment. It will be updated if and when it is updated. I can't give you a deadline.
