I cannot recommend this mod.

Twice the mimic creatures have bugged out on me, gaining endless turns while I could do nothing. In addition, the mimic attack animation takes way too long. :wurmi:

How are mimics animals? Please change them into "other". It makes it easier for me to kill them.

i love this mod but the mimic's attack animation takes to long. also when i subsribed to this mod i expected the mimics to be like traps when opening chest which you expect to be loot but it was acually a mimic and attacks you. great mod btw.

So for those glitches have only happened to me on level 3 from what I can recall.
The invincibility glitch happened on the too ice level I think, just thought I should add this.
Edit: I found a "Voracious Mimic" who was able to cast that buff. The buff is called syzygy, they can infinitly stack it and start taking absolutely no damage if they stack it too much.

But other then that, I have a couple bugs to report about this mod.
Occationally on the higher levels, if you are fighting a mimic and another monster, the mimic will break and somehow shorten your turns, thus resulting in an infinite loop of you getting hit. There is a very very small gap in the where if you keep pressing to walk away you might hit it and end the loop.
And rarely on occations have they go invincible where they start stackung this buff that increases their defences without end. I like the mimics, but they're bugged to hell, please fix them.

No, we will not suck it up, the mimics are literally over powered beyond all common sense.
Their dodge is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too high.

It seems like a lot of people are complaining about the difficulty of mimics. SUCK IT UP PEOPLE. Unless you've played Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup and had your face torn off by a door mimic or a gold mimic and lost your hardcore character in two hits, you don't know pain. ;) While I admit it's frustrating, I love the hilarity of that "Oh S***!" moment. XD

i like the idea alot but 2 suggestions. 1: instead of making it a mob for the mob pool, make it so that it has a chance of spawning when you open a chest. and with that buff it just a bit since its rarer then, 2: DO SOMTHING ABOUT ThAT AoE STUN ATTACK. as soon as you get 3 of these buggers around you.. game over you cant do anything exept slowly see your health go down. no matter how high level you are.

I do enjoy the monsters. I even like that little AOE attack cause it typically hits my enemies and not me. It's just I find they are so hard to hit.

I don't necessarily know that much about balancing the game at the given moment, but as I said before, I don't think taking away your ability to act is ever a good idea. I mean as I stated before, dying because it wasn't your fault is not fair and is one of the things I hate more than anything else in video games. If they were supposed to cause a blinding flash, why not just change it to debuff you Dodge and EDR? Or actually blind you by severely reducing your vision. And yes, it was floor 3, my mistake.

Did anyone have this problem on Level 3? That's when the Ravenous Mimic casts Blinding Flash - which freezes you for a short while. If so, I can change the spell such that it casts something else or reduce the percentage chance of casting from 15 percent to something lower. What do you think?

I just picked up your mod and found myself severely frustrated by it. While on floor 2, A mimc appeared o have the ability to use a spell that did aoe damage around itself and gives it the ability to make several moves in the same turn. I was playing a warrior, and one uses this ability and walks up to me. It took me down from roughly 60% health over at least 50 turns, but I never got the ability to do anything. There is nothing I despise more in a game than death when there was nothing you can do, so I am afriad that I am uninstalling your mod and I can only advise you to try to fix this issue (granted this isn't some issue caused entirely on my end by having multiple mods or something.)

Blake, treasure-chest Mimics are a long-running RPG trope, probably originating in D&D but seen in a lot of games since. It wasn't so much taken from Terraria as taken from the same mishmash of stock ideas and characters that Terraria took it from. Anyway, nice mod, I love the sprites for them :)

If you moused over them, you'd know straight away which ones are mimics.

Should at least make mimics that look like actual chests so you wouldn't know they were mimics if you just opened a door and saw some.

These things hit weakly at the most convenient of times. I had 3 health, it did 2 damage. SOOOO happy. Had that mimic been replaced with some other monster zoo creature... well, you know, I'd be dead.

These things are easy to find. Mostly because they move towards you. Good job. Level 0 is a little confusing name tho...

Subscribed, because this is a cute idea and has potential. Was disappointed that they don't work like typical mimics, where you don't know which chests are mimics and which are real chests, hence their name. At the very least they need attack animations from multiple directions and the death animation looks like an image effect, which takes away from the game's pixel graphics. Overall, I'm keeping it for now, but I'd like to see some improvements if I'm going to add it permanently to my dungeons.

They shouldn't... I noticed them flying yesterday, but I was all bleary eyed and sleepy. Will change it later tonight... and I'll add a few screens of what they look like in the game. Thanks for the feedback.
