there needs to be a checkpoint after getting the cube onto the 1st button, I lost the cube after leaving the laser room. then I died flinging myself to get back into the laser room. Restarted the entire level -______-

After decompiling and recompiling it worked, but still had some problems (textures not found, i could see the skybox, some stairs missing) but nice map.

I think the map leaks. The floor of the start elevator is missing, maybe the func_instance (if you used one) is defect (invalid path?).

as for those people or A.I.'s asking for checkpoints.
press your "F6" FUNCTION KEY, for a quick save, when ever you want.
then either when you die or press the "F7" function key,
the game/map will load, where you did the quick save.
note: there is only 1 slot for a quick save,
so the next quick save, over writes the previous 1.

I noticed that you could use the Rattman den to get up onto the platform. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just that the point of that part was to jump into your portal across the 'moat' of goo.

I really like the part with the lightbridge and the glass walls. But as has probably been pointed out before, there are some issues here and there. Especially with timers and collision. Can't wait to see the escape, though! ^^

The fact that there are no portalable surfaces near the button behind the chamber with the turrets makes getting the cube out and onto the button needlessly complicated, otherwise nice job

Wait, if you can get the proper texture for the High Energy Pellet in these last two levels, then why can't you get them in the other 6? Are you going to update them at any time, or will you leave them as pink checkered squares?

It gets stuck with the end screen. LOVED the adaptations with the laser. Also I couldnt get the last turret til I realised I could just throw it off lol ... In the long fall pit which you need as a charge; you need to make the roof or something portaleable becausze if you jump in without shooting the one on the platform over the goo you would get stuck.

This is great. I love the spooky feel to this chamber. It was a little odd to see a lightbridge but it added the 'against the clock' factor.

I like the new style of chamber 18, but I don't really like the den turned into a decayed test chamber, as it doesn't really fit to the state of the Enrichment Center during the events of Portal (when GLaDOS is fully in charge of it). Still, I would have rather seen it like catwalks between two test chambers, without showing already the emptiness inside the center like it does in Portal 2 (which breaks a bit the claustrophobia feeling of the original game). Also, you left floating panels inside the laser room. =D
Anyway, you made so far an incredible work on this remake, so I can't wait to see how you will make the escape maps (the most delicate part to recreate if you only keep in mind the original version).

I'm loving these remake chambers. I have to ask, though - since you're making the style clean, why aren't you using the same texture set as the PTI chambers for the portal walls? You always use the ones with stains at the top and bottom.
Also, I think the 'electrical safety seminar' bit was supposed to come after the fling. Nevertheless, great job, and I can't wait to see what you do for the BTS areas.
