Not compatible with that mod.
Don't use it together.
Super Brasilis 12. sep. 2022 kl. 13:30
It still works for me, and is instantaneous travel on the deep abyss.
Doodlinka 29. maj 2021 kl. 3:21
looks like this doesn't work for travel between planets
Winger 25. apr. 2020 kl. 11:04
@Natural Aura If you don't mind using BYOS, you can craft and install thrusters to alter your ship's speed to your liking.
Kenchi 22. mar. 2020 kl. 10:47
Anyone know if there is like, an in-between speed of this and vanilla? I never really did like the amount of time you could end up spending traveling from one planet to another, especially later game when you may end up doing that more often then you may actually be grounded. Though this... this is practically teleporting from one to another. Any way to change this?
Cosmos 8. juli 2019 kl. 19:57
Nevermind. It works sometimes.
Cosmos 8. juli 2019 kl. 15:18
It no longer works.
Remnant Fate 15. juni 2019 kl. 17:58

Uninstalling this mod doesnt seem to revert the ship's travel speed to the default value, untill a fix for this issue is released, be warned that the change is permenant to whichever characters you play with this mod installed.
Rosemagwin 9. feb. 2018 kl. 2:56
I would love one with slower ship travel, seeing as the current mod is out of date.
Tripod  [ophavsmand] 12. jan. 2018 kl. 17:51
@jerrylee22 Thanks, it sounds like there might be a delay set for the UI in that scenario. If I can find some time I might be able to fix. Otherwise, it shouldn't be any slower than standard ship travel, and there's always a work around for not selecting to travel directly to the bookmarked planet.
Bassarus 11. jan. 2018 kl. 16:56
@Tripod I have a quadcore 3.5 ghz intel clocking at 3.9 ghz and an Nvidia GTX 970. This only happens when traveling to bookmarked planets, and not when traveling to other star systems. It works if I travel to the star system and then the planet just fine.
Maxblade19 11. jan. 2018 kl. 13:26
@Tripod Yeah right my pc is not a bomb but if i do each step one by one there is no probleme. The exact bug is: if i am in the star system "Magnus" and i want to go in the star system "Orion" who is right before and to do that instead of right clicking the "Orion" star directly, I open the system map and right click one the planet "Orion I" the ship will travel fast to the star system once in it, it will stay there not moving for a while (by this time you can't click else where to make it move) after what he finaly move to the planet "Orion I". Maybe it will give you a better hint like that.
Tripod  [ophavsmand] 11. jan. 2018 kl. 3:51
@jerrylee22 I haven't been able to test this. My first guess is that it might be your computer trying to catch up on loading. Or do you have quite a solid gaming PC?
Bassarus 9. jan. 2018 kl. 15:56
I too am experiencing major issues when traveling to bookmarks. Ship is visualy there on map but haults there for quite a while before actually being there.
Maxblade19 26. dec. 2017 kl. 13:48
When i travel to a bookmark, the shit goes fast to the star system and seem to freeze there for sometime then finaly go to the planet. Is this happen to someone else?
Tripod  [ophavsmand] 21. dec. 2017 kl. 4:08
@MasterOfBacon It's definitely possible, I've even got the code available for others to tweak. (https://github.com/rtripod/starbound-mods/tree/master/Faster_Ship_Travel) . Just need to tweak the numbers in "sky.config.patch" and "shipupgrades.config.patch". I'm hoping someone can tweak them to what feels right for them. I prefer to travel quickly :)
MasterOfBacon 17. dec. 2017 kl. 17:57
at least tell me no or something XD
Wolfsong The Jester330 20. nov. 2017 kl. 15:15
Is this multiplayer compatable, as in clientside only, not required serverside?
MasterOfBacon 19. okt. 2017 kl. 18:56
K so you ovb know how to make faster ship stuff can you make a mod that makes it take around 3 mins to get to places ? (aka longer ship travel time) I know there was a mod for this but it does not work anymore if you can't make it or simply don't want to I respect that :)
Ickura 6. okt. 2017 kl. 15:57
rip
willy willington 3. sep. 2017 kl. 15:48

Thunde 14. juli 2017 kl. 7:24
This mod dont work for me in 1.3
Caaros 11. juli 2017 kl. 0:13
Is this compatible with 1.3?
TheDarkJediKnight 12. apr. 2017 kl. 17:21
@Trixter: There is a mod that has that http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=816488288&searchtext=Travel which is good and all, though I'd prefer if there was a balance between the two when reaching the extremes of the length of travel-time when traveling different length of time.

Oh well, probably asking for too much.
TheDarkJediKnight 12. apr. 2017 kl. 17:21
What would make sense is if the planets are close by they take less time then the ones on the opposite side of the system.

Another thing is hyperdrive probably wouldn't be needed within the game unless you are traveling between systems since that's the only true time you need to use the fuel, so why would they want to use the same animation.
Ari 9. nov. 2016 kl. 18:40
That would be nice if there was an option in the Navigation Console that allows you to change the speed to your liking. It could be slower or faster than regurlar speed.
I dunno, somebody 28. okt. 2016 kl. 22:04
Me too!
a really cool uesrname 17. sep. 2016 kl. 1:03
yeah i want that as well
TrixyTrixter 15. sep. 2016 kl. 17:13
is it possible to do the opposite? make it take longer to travel to planets. Cause i want that. if that mod already exist can someone point me to it.
Hex: ecute Order 66 10. sep. 2016 kl. 16:52
could you have a side-by-side video of the different travelling speeds?
✮Kisuna✭ 10. sep. 2016 kl. 1:44
Nice mod.
