Me... well i'm from Bradford, not the best place to live but i get by. Sorry to hear that you're not doing so good, i wish i could help out a little. By the way what kind of art, oil painting, drawing, landscaping? plus nice, good to hear ya getting back into modding, just don't go to crazy ya hear XD.
Sorry to take a while to respond...
I'm okay...my eldest kid just graduated from grade 8 and it was a feeble 'zoom' affair, and I think I'm taking it much harder than she is. I'm a fine artist by trade and the whole COVID shut down has been dragging here in Toronto, Canada. on the upside, it sent me back into modding Skyrim with a fury!
How are you doing? What part of the UK are you in? My mum was from Blackpool...
Hey thanks for letting me know, sorry this one ain't as long XD. so how are you doing today?
Thank you very much for taking the time to write. I'm delighted the mod make you feel at home. I had the same problem with the Heartfires homes: just chilly, and I hate barrels and sacks everywhere. This was my original build, and as long as you're playing with Lakeview, it works great. There is a newer mod that treats all three homes and another mod that adds a basement to match. The basement would work with this mod too.
Hello, sorry for being a bother and all but i just wanted to thank you for making this wonderful mod. for so long i have installed and uninstalled house mods that just never seem to suit me or make it feel like a home i would have, even the hearthfire houses feel so cold... what am saying is you have taken something and made it feel like a real home... and for that i think you :3
Sorry for the slow reply. I've been away from Steam for a while. Storing the Quest items can be glitchy. The game doesn't want you to do it. When there is a problem, I point Players to the 'lost and found' where I discretely placed copies of quest objects that may have gone missing. See the final pic above. Hope that helps!
Sorry for the delay in replying. I've been away from Steam for a while. Yes! Use HearthfiresMultipleAdoptions. An oldie but a goody.
i got the dragon elder scroll through septimus and placed it in the holder above the bed.
now, i want to continue with the main quest but i need that scroll. i cant access it anymore, it says i need to have the scroll to interact with it......
I've lost track..have you tried my 3-house version? I tried very hard to resolve the issues that this mod presented.
Sorry to keep you waiting for a response. I don't always get notifications for comments on Steam. I'm guessing the problems with Aela is a conflict if she is the only one doing the weirdness.
Your comment about Lakeview is intriguing. The BYOH's are on an integer system that does tie the homes together. Your advice should probably be headed. Have you tried the newer version, that deals in all three homes? I tried to resolve what I could by really limiting the items I removed and making back-up "recipes" so you could tweak things once the builds are in place.
If you want to build all three BYOH homes, PLEASE DO SO FIRST, as certain changes in Lakeview do remove respective items in the other houses, while building elsewhere, may add unwanted (conflicting) items back in to Lakeview. You may get around the losses with a positionser mod."
I just built Windstad Manor (I didn't plan on building more than just Lakeview but it happened) and in all 3 places where you can build a double bed, there is no longer an option. I'm just confirming that is one of the 'losses' you're referring to in this part above? And I know it's a long shot, but is there a way to still be able to build them without having to risk losing all progress?
Thank you in advance!
The problem is that with 'quest' mods (interactive game choice elements), aliases have to be filled, and if a quest is set "run from start" (as with such overhaul type mods), the alias will fail to fill when the mod is added mid game. Found out the hard way doing my "Brynjolf" mod.
Just go to my profile page and the message button is in the upper right hand corner area.
This was totally intentional. Doesn't it look extra creepy and cool!!!?
Thank you for the screenshots though; it makes everything clear. Thanks for trying the mod, but do check out the newer "Additions for Lakeview, Heljarchen and Windstadt, with their accompanying basements and the Lakeview DLC
Always a pleasure to meet a like minded soul. I love the vanilla game. My core aesthetic is seamlessness and for the "Additions" mods, flexibility. The intent is that you are able to build only what you want. Maybe the best advice is to save, build, see if you like that piece, and if you don't, just go back. I'd also like to point out, that this is the precursor to my mod that lets you change any one of the three BYOH homes. You can of course change Lakeview, Heljarchen and Windstadt completely, or merely add one element. The more complete mod tends to preserve even more of the vanilla home, laying the collectors' cabinets on top or in greater harmony with the vanilla furnishings. They also work well with Shezrie's kitchens. Check it out! There is also an elaborate (but lore-friendly) basement mod and an updated DLC "Additions for Lakeview".
Thanks for trying it out.:)
it is glorious to see that someone with the knowhow is building a mod that adds collectors functionality for players that want to stick with a mostly vanilla build of the game.
I've been searching up and down for a while and found nothing that fits this little gap (either it is full houses or entire dungeons with teleporters etc.) and this seems great.
Would it be possible to have a bare bones version that only adds the collectors storage items to a single of the BYOH locations [SKSE]?
Lovely work!
The SKSE was late to the party for SE as I recall. It is with much trepidation that I even wade into those uncharted waters (I love Oldrym). At least I can test the mods...once I actually get time to play the game ha...ha...meanwhile I'm relying on feedback! (I throw you the hot potato - tag!)
It seem to be working okay on Nexus.......
I'm relying on you to tell me if it's working, as I'm nowhere at all in SE :D
