My mod is like E3245's, but I add XCOM 1, XCOM 2, and the DLC soundtracks, so they can all play alongside new MMS soundtracks.

I think it's possible, but you need to use the SDK to edit the packages. You need to edit the CUE file for the song, and remove the looping node.

I think, if you do that, MMS might pick another song? Or it might just fall silent. I'm not sure which.

Anyone know how to stop music from looping and move to another track? Not quite certain what to do for that.

Would it be possible to add custom triggers for events to this? Ergo initiate music change when a Chosen/AR spawns for example, or when your squad is taking heavy losses.

Like its randowm wich of the 2 it picks every time music changes

Hope a LWOTC fix can be found soon to resolve the double music.
Also the cut-scene music playing issues is a little jarring as it transitions into completely different mission music.

LWOTC does work but that double music bug happens. You just have to reload your save and you'll refresh the music (and usually gets rid of the double music bug).

I didn't have that problem in Vanilla, but with LWOTC I did. What worked for me was switching the music in game to "Xcom 2" instead of the legacy music option.

I use the Alternative Mod Launcher for the game, which I find works better than the default launcher. You should download this, the halo music mod, and if both are enabled then you should have the halo music play on it's own, with it randomly being either the halo music or whatever you have vanilla set up for. You can download other music packs to have them added to the 'selection' so to speak.

How do you even use this in-game? Im trying to play some halo music

@cbct Yes it does, I have done multiple campaigns with it on WOTC. I also have it 'working' with LWOTC but to a more limited extent.

I dunno what your setup is but I had absolutely no problems with this mod using WOTC across multiple campaigns.

Mod doesnt work on WOTC.

I love this mod, a lot of fun using it with WoTC and music packs like Far Cry Blood Dragon and Brigador to name a few.

Does anyone know how to get this working with Long WoTC though? I have it running but can't seem to get it to work without hearing overlapping tracks :(

FOR THOSE WONDERING WHAT THE OPTIONS DO I FOUND THIS IN THE LOCALIZATION FILES:

m_strUseFallback=Allow Fallback
m_strUseFallbackTooltip=Mix the default music in even when a music pack is installed

m_strMixIn=Mix In Indifferent
m_strMixInTooltip=Music Definitions can say that they want to be played at a certain mission. If there is a valid music set directly for that missions, Sets that omit their missions have no chance to play. This setting changes that.

Use the Alternative Mod Launcher and that mod will still work, everyone.

I downloaded Xcom 2 alternative mod launcher and it's working miracles! It works with this mod!

oh gross so that's what it is. Yuck. Sorry that happened. No good updates go unpunished. Hope we get a new mod. Doesn't work for me at all specifically, like something is angry at this mod because it doesn't even show up in the mod menu (in the game in options)

All I want for Christmas is the original XCOM 2 squad loadout song to play instead of the subpar WOTC replacement. :'(

Due to how the new modlauncher works, you now need an standalone WOTC variant of this addon... And since none exists on the workshop currently?
Well, if you're not good with file editing and you for some reason can't open the old modlauncher? Well, Good luck with that.

AML is showing a conflict between this mod and "Soundtrack Restoration - WotC + TLE" since they both use 'XComTacticalSoundManager'

Is it safe to use both?

I wish theres some mission codes where you put specific songs on specific missions

So... can someone explain me how exactly this mod works?
I've downloaded this framework and a couple of "music packs" (other soundtracks from the workshop).

I was expecting to switch between the different soundtracks in the options menu -> audio
But there i can only switch between two XCom: Enemy Unknown and one War of the Chosen soundtracks (i have all DLCs installed).

Looking in the mod menu -> music modding system i can only select one of two options:
"Allow Fallback" and
"Mix in indifferent".
(what do these do btw?)

Be sure your AML is set up correctly. I use this mod with no issues. Have not used this with multiple music mods, but will experiment with it soon.

I downloaded a Mass Effect, Call of Duty, and Crysis soundtracks and no music plays during combat for me.

But, I'm assuming we won't get any help with these issues.

Cool mod, friend. How do I integrate this with the WoTC + TLE music restoration mod (sorta mingles all the available soundtracks wotc shipped with.

Is it possible to use several music pack at once? I am using C&C Music pack and i want to add Wolfenstein; Do i have to use either one or can i use both and the game does the mix and match?

Does anyone know how this mod works with LWOTC2? i am noticing it is working partially but on certain missions the custom music is overlapping with the base games music.

hello commander, I have tried to create my own music pack follow the tourial doc
but stuck in the "content browser" step
in view bar there is no content browser and I've tried using search function in modbuddy and only found '"environment->Web browser", can any one show me what I might missed?

Soo.. I have a couple music mods that change the skyranger deploy theme, I only want to hear one so I edited the others inis and deleted the relevant lines, but that doesn't seem to have worked? How can I have it so I only hear one mods song on a certain cue?

Not sure where the conflict is, or if it's just this mod, comments seem to be mixed, but I can't play with this mod without crashes. It's somewhat random, doesn't happen every time, but it always happens at the end of missions. Disabling does not help, need to start a new game, now everything is fine. Just thought I'd mention it, in case anybody else has issues. I don't really expect the modder to troubleshoot at this point, seeing as how both this mod and this game have been out a while.

Is it possible to have the track change and not constantly loop?

This works with WOTC but in my experience some songs aren't disabled (like from missions with the lost) so you hear two songs at the same time. If you have tactical legacy pack, make sure to select the OST to be the WOTC one or you'll hear a lot of duplicate music.

so can someone explain to me how we can switch between different music packs or even disable the xcom music so we can only hear our downlaoded and selected music packs???? i need someone to explain this to me

yeah, would love to use this, but the drop in frames, is a little too much for me, since I run a heafty amount of mods and any lowered frames gives me significant fear that it's going to crash, really would like to have the music changed and stuff, but I just don't find the drop in frames worth it.
