Nothing much. Just ground work for a big mod which ties together the SW starting systems, and has empire unique buildings based on starting planet.

Ah. Well it is similar code in the solar initializer to spawning primitve civilisations. I picked up on it from the Goa'uld Stargate mod.

You're right that Korriban is their homeworld, but I imagine they would have been present on all of the worlds under Sith control.

As far as Yavin IV goes; Naga Sadow and the Sith got stomped by the Old Republic and he went into hiding here bringing his Massassi with him.

Yeah. Should be the "Knowledge of the Force" technology in the physics track. Psionic Expertise scientists are far more likely to get it. I haven't tested it myself.

Also useful for Xenophile. No slavery(perhaps). but having 2 species from the start means you're getting that happiness boost.

Turns out there isn't a problem on this one, but I've started my revamp anyway. Animated massassi and custom planet skin for Yavin Prime already mostly done. I'll upload after some testing.

I actually haven't tested it specifically. I just know that every other mod I've made that adds another species to the home planet crashes the game on the city selection screen.

I'm going to give this a touch of paint anyway at some point. Massassi Temple buildings. Custom tileblockers too.

I might move the Massassi to another moon which I believe they visited in some obscure lore snippet or else remove them entirely....maybe incorporate them into a species portrait pack if I can link then with the animation set of an appropriate other group of alien portraits.

And if I have a holocron strategic resource worked out this will probably be the test case system for that.

Or the the species government created within fulfills the custom_empire initialization requirement even if no-one selects it? I honestly don't know.

It does? That is interesting, isn't it. I guess it could be because I took a page from the Goa'uld mod and classified it as a "starting_planet" rather than a "home_planet." That allows me to add modifiers freely to the planets within. I guess - even though their usage is set to 'custom_empire' - that is a nice little side effect of the change =D

Loving your starting systems (have almost all of them installed) but was curious how do make it so they can appear even if an empire isn't starting in it. And more specific for Yavin, having it appear as a non-starting system but with the Massassi as a pre-FTL species.

Regarding the moons take a look at the mod files of the mod Dromund System that adds the Dromund System and the Horuset System. The code for the moons orbits of Dromund Kalakar and Korriban are something you might want to consider. Dromund Kalakar has 6 moons and Korriban has 7 and their orbits are quite tight. Don't worry about the colour tho, that is just a minor visual fix.

@ExarKun Species classification is fixed. Up to this point every attempt at using custom planet entities have failed for me. If I crack that I probably will come back and change Yavin Prime's colour.

@ExarKun Yeah they would. Sorry. Laziness on my part, I guess. I just left them as reptillians while I was trying to get them to work and never changed it. I'll fix it in the next patch.
Again, I can only fit in so much detail, and I haven't worked out how to increase the space size like the Sol 2.0 mod, and even that had limited detail. I added the outermost moon, to reflect the number, then focused on habitable moons and the more inner moons. I'll see what I can do, but don't expect miracles is all.

Massassi are not reptillians. They would be mammalians in this game. Just like their cousins the Sith would be (Massassi are a subspecies of the Sith, although you picked a portrait of a mutated Massassi). The orbits of the Yavin moons look too big and Yavin Prime itself too small in size and it would need a brownish colour. Also I only count 10 Yavin moons when there are 26 in total orbiting Yavin Prime. Would you mind changing it to be accurate?

"Massassi Temples" modifier added + localisation. Modifer increases planet habitability by 10% and gives a 5% boon to society research.
