No longer works, game crashes upon trying to start a new game through advanced setup. I imagine since it hasn't been updated since 2012, don't expect any fixes either lol. Just don't download.

None of the action buttons are what they're supposed to be so I don't know what I'm doing with my units. The mod is a great idea though. I hope that issue can be helped.

If only I can rename the Civ Details... Looks like I would eat the loss. I looked for an option, but looked at the Really Adv setup, but it doesn't allow hotseat...

Works to start up, however it appears that trying to load a game created with CASS crashes the game. So, basically if you want any use out of this, you need to be able to play an entire game in one sitting.

Is there any way to use some of the code of this mod to make a mod that allows you to have a hotseat game with a scenario?

To anyone trying to play hotseat with this mod download from the internet and manually install do not use the steam version as it will not work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait, I deleted the mod and re-downloaded it from scratch. Seems to work now. Tried a game and my player 1 Civ started getting free great generals for no reason, but I think that was the the mod Civ that I was using since the comments on that one indicated some strange issues with it. I'll try again and see if it happens with different choices.

This mod works with Vox Populi but I can't seem to use the Hotseat function. This is probably a problem you've seen before but is there a way to fix this?

Strange, not working for me either on linux. Tried Star-X's method to no avail, unsubscribed from everything, nada. Shame.

Sounds a bit to me like it's in conflict with one of your other mods. Did you try turning off everything but this one to see if you still get that error?

For reference's sake, changing the mod ID in the modinfo file by a single number fixed it. Changed it from (blah)5 to (blah)4, and now it loads as if it was installed standalone.

It'll still require extracting from the workshop temp folders, specifically /home/(username)/.local/share/Steam/userdata/(steam user id)/ugc/referenced. Dig around in the numbered folders to find the one that has the mod, then extract the file using 7zip or another tool capable of handling 7z files. You'll also probably need to correct the modinfo file's capitalization within, along with the filename capitalizations, so that it's entirely lower case, and the mod points at the files with the lower case names instead of using the capitalized letters.

Upon looking at the logs, specifically the Mod Installer log, it seems that the file has been corrupted in some way, because it has this fun error in it:
[58.686] ERR: There was an md5 mismatch on one of the included files. (\tmp\Aspyr_Temp_AtYntSCiv5ModInstaller\HotSeatInGame.lua)
[58.686] ERR: There was an error installing the mod. (\tmp\Aspyr_Temp_AtYntSCiv5ModInstaller\Custom Advanced Setup Screen (v 5).modinfo)

I googled the error, and apparently I am the only person in the world who has ever had this issue, because it doesn't exist on the internet.

Any chance you could try reuploading the mod so that the md5 mismatch is fixed, or something? I'm almost tempted to change the mod ID by a single digit just so it doesn't try finding the mod online and instead just uses the extracted data I extracted from the damn thing myself, since it'll never work online anyway.

I'm subscribed to this mod, but it didn't show up in my mods list. Why? I'm on Linux, in case that matters.

Only Negatives I've found with is that you can't name the players in hotseat mode. You are stuck with ' Player 1' for the fisrt person, and the Leader names for all subsequest people.
Tried working around it using saved configuration from a hotseat game (Before map Generation) but it defaults back to no mods if you do.
Outside of that though, full marks. Thank you for letting me Mod my Hotseat Games.

Hi, I enabled the mod, but after I click next there's only the possibility to play single game with mods, no hotseat...

What does it mean that scenarios in hotseat must be activated by the mod creator in its own custom setup screen?

The ability to be able to deselect the Civs that you don't want to play against seems to be broken. I have all selected but Venice and they seem to be in every other game I start.

Hey, is there any way that we can play scenarios on hot seat with this mod? It'll be super cool playing as both the sides of the Roman empire in FoR. Also, I love how you can name the leaders, civs and everything like that.

Yeah I created a Mod and used this to play the Civs in my Mod as HotSeat. Made sure I only had 12 as that is all basic HotSeat can support. I wanted to play a World in which America was not in the Middle East but actually in North America! Why they haven't got a base map which allows this is beyond me, anyway... it comes up but all the civs in my mod do not come up and I get to pick from all the civs in the game! I thought this was my mod, so I tried it with a few other mods and it does the same. It seems like it is just a basic random location start all the time within Mods which are ment to have real start locations!

Hey, I was thinking of playing a game of Civ V based on the Lord of the Rings. However, its a bit of an immersion breaker knowing that I'll eventually have advanced combat units that never existed in the stories. Do you think it's possible the tech eras could be limited or an option put in that stops tech progress before the advent of gunpowder units?

I have this enabled, but when using it alongside Faerun I do not see the human/ai options. Would you be able to offer some help as to why?

So I have been trying to play with this mod and the Revolution and Cultural Diffusion mods and for some reason this mod combined with those two does not allow me to play on the regular earth type map which I want despretaley to play on. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!
