Dear Linux users, this mod uses a dll.
Kung Fu PANDA 2023
@READ_SIEGE did you make the mod compatible with vox populi?
Andrew Whiteingale 2020
Hello, I am trying to make this mod work with Community Patch, can I import the dll inside the Community Patch mod?
i have a freaking footfetish
Conflicts with my game setups, but still great.
For me every mod, that adds new 3D models is a gem.
Still dreaming of modded world wonders with models
Can you add the Lake Baikal to wonders list?
Could you do a multiplayer compatibility please ? :wrastor:
For some reason, my technology tree won't load while using this mod. As in, I start the game and can't develop any technologies at al... which ruins the game and I have to disable the mod. Please fix?
Also I suggest to add a two-tile ()or maybe three) Karakoram (Karakorum) ridge
Stef 2016
Will you mod get an update soon to be compatible with the references made to it in the CP? Concept of the mod is awesome, so would be a real shame if not being maintained...
Would you be able to make a land Krakatoa? Basically copying the wonder and make its model not screw up on land?
The mod doesn't work with NQMod, I can't choose production in the city
@drbackler: While I have not tested it personally, I expect that this mod will work with Really Advanced Setup. However, it is possible that the natural wonders added by this mod will show up among features like forests rather than with the other natural wonders. (It may not -- depends on details of how Really Advanced Setup is coded.)
Also, I love the graphical support! Aethetics are important in a game like Civ so thanks for taking that into consideration :)
Thank's very much for this mod.
Does this mod work with the "Really Advanced Setup" mod? IE: Do the new natural wonders show up when placing natural wonders on the map?
This mod is awesome, Civ can always use new natural wonders. Keep up the good work!
BTW, that should have been the "Natural Wonders Enhanced" but I'm sure you knew that. :steamfacepalm:
@zArkham4269 at a quick look they should be compatible but I haven't tested this.

@Apollo this does not provide more natural wonders per map, just more variety. However, it is compatible with most mapscripts which can change the number of NWs per map (by modifying AssignStartingPlots:PlaceNaturalWonders()).

@Majacura sadly natural wonders don't count as mountains for machu picchu, even the default ones.

People asking about more wonders: I am planning to add more but it takes a long time to make each one. If you want to make your own, my work is freely available for CiV modders to expand on or modify, and I have a tutorial for adding wonders in the civfanatics forum post linked in the description.
Do you think this would conflict with the Wonders Enhanced mod?
Ivor 2016
Does this mod expand the limit of natural wonders or fall within it? (IIRC the limit is 7 natural wonders for Huge)
Mark P 2016
lamillerran thanks for your efforts!
Cant wait to try your mod as my favourite civ is Spain whom get massive benefits from wonders.

Please ignore the selfish hate comments from nooooobs whom take, take, take and contribute nothing.
imagine building maccu piccu ontop op Mt. Everest...
Crexus 2016
Would love to see the Grand Canyon added, bonuses industry and science (mining/research). Maybe use the great barrier reef and invert it.
For those insulting the quality of the 3D models - Natural Wonder modding with full 3D modelling is a breakthrough that this person should be thanked for. This hasn't been done before.
Esdai 2016
are there going to be more?
those look so shit
@Weboh: I added some details about the wonders in the description
@yosemitehalfdome I am probably not going to make an Earth map just to put my natural wonders in it, but this mod works with the map editor, so if you like you can open your favorite Earth map and add the three wonders where they go (north coast of Northern Ireland, Nepal/China border, and Bolivia near Chilean border).

@Soron thanks for the suggestions!
@BF1 Hype Train Derailed yeah, Giant's Causeway edges haven't turned out as well as I'd like; I'm looking at redoing the texture mapping to see if I can improve things although I think some of it comes from the CiV shader (which I can't adjust). But hopefully I can improve things.

@Akinaba Lake Baikal is already on my list of natural wonders I'd like to implement :). I would make it a one-tile natural wonder -- while placing it would be moderately challenging from a coding standpoint (the Great Barrier Reef has custom placement lua code, and I'd need to upgrade it further to keep the two tiles in the same orientation) the main difficulty would be in setting up separate 3D models for each tile that interacted naturally/seamlessly with each other. Possible, but really hard and probably more than I'm up for at the moment.
2 natural wonders that would be simply pleasant to look at would be The Door to Hell in Turkmenistan and Lake Hillier or any pink-red lake
@Akinaba It seems very possible, as the great barrier reef spawns like that most of the time.
Oh yesss! Allways wanted more natural wonders!
Please add Lake Baikal -- the largest freshwater lake by volume in the world, containing roughly 20% of the world's unfrozen surface fresh water.

If you would do it It obviously need to be at least a two-tile wonder methinks which must be situated not far then 2 tiles from the mountines (each) (yet I don't know if it is at all possible)
Guy 2016
ive always wondered why there was a my. kilimanjaro wonder but not mt everest
me at first on image 4: what? snow in the desert?

me after i read the description: OH IT'S THE SALT FLATS!

moral of the story: READ THE FUCKING DESCRIPTION!
Well, I'm impressed - I'd heard that adding Natural Wonder graphics is so hard as to be practically impossible, so great job on that. However, I will say that Giant's Causeway could do with higher-res textures/meshes. The other ones look good, but that wonder is known for its defined edges IRL so this looks a bit weird. Is there a limitation on terrain graphics resolution?
Weboh 2016
Okay; makes sense. You should list the yields and names of the other wonders in the description too.
@Weboh: Thanks for the feedback. Mt. Everest yields are balanced to account for map generation conditions on Mt. Everest which only allow it to spawn when there is a mountain on all 6 adjacent tiles. This restricts city positioning near Everest with a number of guaranteed mountain tiles in the city radius, plus you either have to wait a long time for your borders to spread to Everest or spend a substantial amount of gold.

Regarding Salar de Uyuni, my intent was to have culture & science replace part of the production & gold output, with the idea that keeping the wonder culturally important would limit how much it could be exploited industrially. My hope is that in later releases I can place a salt resource on it that can be mined for the usual benefits but with a partial loss of the culture bonus, but the salt graphics were not working well with the Salar graphic and so I scrapped that idea for my initial release. There's some additional discussion of this on the civfanatics thread.
Tnesniv Yørel 2016
Thanks for the pics and new description!
@Weboh : I agree about the Mt. Everest: 2 gold, 4 cult, 4 faith and seems happ would be better. Also, for the solar de Uyuni, I suggest 1 food, 2 prod, 2 gold, 1 cult and 1 science.
Weboh 2016
Shouldn't Solar de Uyuni give more than the amount of production and gold an improved source of salt gives, and give a source of salt? Also, I think Mt. Everest should have different yields. It seems like you just gave it an average of everything. Its total yeilds are also more than natural wonders usually give.
but what do they gives you.
Can you make an Earth map that works with this?
Blue Jay 2016
Thanks for the update fam!
I've added screenshots and an extended description, including a discussion of compatibility with other mods and map scripts. In addition to the general principles I give above, I can directly say that it is compatible with More Luxuries and is not currently compatible with CP.
infos pls
This could be very promising, ill try it out
Blue Jay 2016
I would sub, but i need more info
Waka Waka 2016
can we see screenshots of these?
Tnesniv Yørel 2016
Interesting. Can you add more details please? Also, how about compability? Is it compatible with More Luxuries, CP,.... ?
