Is this mod still working after Murgh's disappearance/as of the Crowbar Hotel update?

Just look at the picture above, who is carrying the books? Zones don't matter.

Question for ya:

Do staff workmen take care of stocking branch libraries or do prisoners handle that? I've got a PC wing sectioned off from the rest of the general population, but I don't know how'd that work having a library in - for example here, MinSec - and having branch libraries scattered throughout my prison in other sections.

Mod update:

- added BookCase (Short) to the Branch Library room definitions and production rules

@Careful! Prisoners will only work if they "feel" like it. Gang Members also NEVER work. This could be your problem. But there are some other factors, like food quality and needs being met, personally it seems to me that even suppression might cause this. Hope this helped.

The game is literally broken (nobody in your supermax wing will work in a library) without using this technique, thanks for making it a mod so I don't have to watch the warning signs.

Thanks, it seemsa couple of books have been put in one of the common rooms You can see one of the common rooms at the bottom left and the Library is just close by. I think you're right it just takes time, this was great idea to add to my happy prisoners. I also have the gardens and eggs now, very cool. Thanks for replaying and creating this for us.

Books get brought sooner if both the library and the branch are located in the same security zones. However I also have one shared zone in the prison with no library, and it gets fed from other security level libraries after a while, it just takes some more time. So if nothing happens at all then it might be due to your prison design.

No idea, this is one of the simplest mods around. Books get brought to the branch if available. So there must be some problem in your main library. Either not enough people available to sort books or something alike.

The workers are not adding the books here, shelves are right, tile is branch library underneath and in common rook and some in classrooms and some in canteen. Any ideas? I have tried disabled the mod and re enabling, reboot the game still no go? Thanks

Sure, when I made the mod first thing I saw was a prisoner grabbing a book as soon as they were brought :) So it didn't take very long to test if it would actually work as well.

Very neat mod.

One question that might seem dumb:
I assume prisoners can still pick the books in the branch library to satisfy their literacy need, right?

In the production.txt there's no way to specify which zone should be delivered - it just delivers sorted books to a random branch library besides a normal library.

Yes it should. In the test I got a shared area with a branch but no library, and it gets fed from other security zoned libraries. But it takes a bit longer, looks like same zoned branches/libraries get priority.

what happens if the library is in another security zone. Does is still work then?

It's called sandbox mode where money doesn't matter :p Just start a new game with unlimited funds.
