I really miss when "Classic Food Mechanics" was on the Steam Workshop.
ScrambieBambie 15. apr. 2018 kl. 22:56
If anyone is interested, i made a patch of this and Improved Descriptions:

Thx @Count Orlok ...i had this problem. There is always a manual mod folder instalation with priority in meta to be ajusted.
Pvt. Pirate 27. mar. 2018 kl. 5:27
is it compatible with "slow food rot"?
ScrambieBambie 2. dec. 2017 kl. 21:43
Author of "Food Spoil Bars" inform this is not compatible, if anyone was interested.
Sir Bruno 17. nov. 2017 kl. 18:44
Thank you Count Orlok!

If you use both Food Rot Info and Improved Food Descriptions and the food keeps a white border:
This seems to be caused by the sequence these mods are loaded by Starbound.
It works for me, if Food Rot Info is loaded after Improved Food Descriptions :
- Unsubscribe both Food Rot Info and Improved Food Descriptions
- Resubscribe to Improved Food Descriptions
- Wait until the mod was downloaded by Steam
- Resubscrybe to Food Rot Info

(This post replaces a previous one with a less reliable method to manipulate the mod load order. If there is a better way to do so, I would like to hear about it.)

Something went wrong with the colours for me after the update. For example, a product will be safe for more than 2 hours, but it's white. Though the time info is still correct. So, it's still very useful, but it's also quite uncomfortable at the same time :reonion:
Caaros 19. juli 2017 kl. 0:19
Tested it myself. Unfortunately, this mod has no affect on StarChef Redux. Real shame.
Caaros 2. juli 2017 kl. 23:08
Can this affect the foods added by Starchef Redux?
Paz 29. juni 2017 kl. 14:09
I don't run any other mods, and this still works for me on the latest update. Thank you so much for this mod, it's such a QoL improvement for eating.
Tanix 20. juni 2017 kl. 19:22
@graublau
after un-installing CN More Farming Mods,
nothing changed. still, sadly, didn't work.
Eepy Sofi  [ophavsmand] 15. juni 2017 kl. 16:29
I'm not sure. I actually don't play much Starbound, the only mod I've heard of is FU.
graublau 15. juni 2017 kl. 2:49
I freshly cooked some stuff, went to the planet to check for updates, but it didn't happen :/
besides FU I've got the CN More Farming Mods, might that be the problem?
graublau 15. juni 2017 kl. 1:50
Hm, I'll check again, maybe something else is hindering - thanks for the feedback!
Eepy Sofi  [ophavsmand] 15. juni 2017 kl. 0:23
Hmm, I made this mod specifically while playing FU. Maybe the latest update broke it? I can't look at it now. Is anyone else having issues?
graublau 14. juni 2017 kl. 8:55
I'd love to be using this mod, but it seems not to be working with FU - any chance on that changing? :/
[DBH].Whismerhill.{SSgt} 11. juni 2017 kl. 10:04
it doesn't deathninja, I have both running fine at once
Tanix 27. maj 2017 kl. 14:08
[DBH].Whismerhill.{SSgt} 5. maj 2017 kl. 14:14
example :
currently it sorts :
common (white), then, legendary (purple >3hours), then blue (rare <3hours), then green & yellow
which means when cooking white are used then legendary then rare
[DBH].Whismerhill.{SSgt} 5. maj 2017 kl. 13:03
This mod is awesome allows sorting foods by remaining time
however while the order & color make sense for consistency with the game at large
it turns out starbound doesn't sort by increased rarity value

why is this important ?
cause the order it's sorted in the inventory is the order in which ingredients are taken for cooking.

Seems to be broken ATM.
StriderAlpha.com 23. nov. 2016 kl. 0:44
This is quite handy, especially when you have lots of food on you!

My only feedback is:
-----------------------------------
White
< 5 Minutes
-----------------------------------
It would make more sense to me if this one is red, like alert/urgent about to expire?

Thanks again!
Anthony 3. nov. 2016 kl. 19:26
Love mod thanks :D
BigGreenGayDad 6. okt. 2016 kl. 19:06
@iheartbeer I don't know that mods work on the unstable versions.
iheartbeer 10. sep. 2016 kl. 16:35
I looooove this mod, but for some reason it doesn't install for the unstable version (yay v1.1!) Does anyone have any insight into why this could be? I'm pretty new to modding this game and modding through Steam.
Morrigoth 27. aug. 2016 kl. 11:28
haha I get it... blue cheese... haha:steamhappy:
Eepy Sofi  [ophavsmand] 26. aug. 2016 kl. 2:19
No. But your food borders will stay what they were before you removed the mod. Newly acquired food will look normal though.
Qbi Wan 26. aug. 2016 kl. 1:51
What if i'll start using it and then uninstall? Will the game files become corrupted?
Astra 25. aug. 2016 kl. 15:28
This is a very good mod ! It's kinda annoying to always look at the food one by one to see how fresh they are ! Good job
Eepy Sofi  [ophavsmand] 25. aug. 2016 kl. 14:07
In theory: It is client-side, but if you give your food to someone that doesn't have the mod, they might see some of the old rot info, but it won't update as long as they're holding it.
SJunior 25. aug. 2016 kl. 12:26
Client side mod, or does everyone else need it as well?
Tyrian 25. aug. 2016 kl. 10:53
bro , why u do not work in this company , bruh ? because you are too good for it...

i feel sorry for molly trough
Pascia 25. aug. 2016 kl. 7:09
How about when the food is in a fridge?
ordinary girl down 25. aug. 2016 kl. 6:36
SO GOOD
Punished Vorst 24. aug. 2016 kl. 23:54
Ohh, I had no idea that this was your mod!
HamrTime 24. aug. 2016 kl. 19:14
Is this in game time, or real time?
Denami 24. aug. 2016 kl. 6:29
SO GOOD
Gradius 24. aug. 2016 kl. 5:08
hi folks, how do you like this mod?
Eepy Sofi  [ophavsmand] 22. aug. 2016 kl. 16:20
Okay. Thank you. :)
Cerasum 22. aug. 2016 kl. 11:11
@Sofi Yeah I realised it later that it actually was gone... any new food didn't have the colours on it, only the old ones I already had :) Sorry, I should've checked better!

Again, lovely mod, makes my space-life easier :P
Erazil 22. aug. 2016 kl. 2:43
nice but not fully compatible with Food Stack
(no crash, just do not works together perfectly)
Eepy Sofi  [ophavsmand] 21. aug. 2016 kl. 15:40
Are you sure the mod is still there? The information like border colour is stored on each item, and by default it is not changed by rotting. Try crafting or buying some new food and see if it is normal.
Eepy Sofi  [ophavsmand] 21. aug. 2016 kl. 15:11
Delete the folder: steamapps\workshop\content\211820\747784448
Cerasum 21. aug. 2016 kl. 12:33
I have a bit of a problem. I unsubscribed your mod but it is still there. I deleted the whole workshop-folder even... How do I get rid of it? :(
It's a lovely mod but I just needed starbound to be mod-less for a moment to test something...
Alucard Elric 21. aug. 2016 kl. 7:13
Is this a client side only mod or does everyone on the server need to have this?
Taux 20. aug. 2016 kl. 2:03
I rate this 9,000,000 stars.
p6kocka 20. aug. 2016 kl. 1:37
Could you pls move the info about expire times bit up?
