@Tjoepapke: Wonderful news! Would it help if I identified the glitches that I know of? If you're taking requests please add an Aberration island. The unfinished one NW of the central island would be a great place. I have high hopes for your map and plan to run an open server using it.

Dear Survivors , Saddly enough i didn't had the time for working on this project the past years, On this point i have fixed some issue's inside ue4 , like the glitching caused by some rockformations. I have started with painting the unavailable area's There's still tons of work... i'll try to update the map this summer. PS the website is offline , after the update i will active the webpages. In the mean time have some fun !! and i'm sorry for all those delays, but hey its free...

@sashahellsing: No but it is playable. There are two large islands that are mostly complete but both have a couple of map glitches that will transport you to where you don't want to be so watch out for arches. If you spawn in the easy areas at the south end of the one island you'll be relatively safe and have easy access to basic resources including crystal and obsidian. Chitin is scarce at first but can be found in abundance in the desert surrounding the ONLY obelisk and in even more abundance in the desert on the other island. Pearls are also in great abundance on the other island but black pearls are non-existent or at least very rare (I've found none).
There a barren island to the northwest and the map shows islands to the north but you can't get there. Two small islands in the southeast are finished but worthless. The ocean is deep with lots of leeds so be careful how far you stray from shore.

If you play this map avoid archways. I have found 3 archways that transport you to the top of the arch if you try to pass under them. One of these has no safe passage off and jumping off is fatal if you haven't been leveling your health. Another archway is a water passage and your raft/motorboat will vanish leaving satchels of inventory hovering over the water.

You can also not sail north of 40 degrees latitude so while the map appears HUGE, only about half of it is finished and/or playable. There are basically two very large islands that are mostly finished.

The two land masses are interesting and offer a strange and often frustrating mixture of gentle paths to help you and sheer cliffs and valleys that require lengthy back-tracking to circumvent. Resources are bountiful but most crystal/obsidian/metal deposits are localized at the volcanoes.

Much of the ocean is VERY deep with steep drop offs and almost no shallows surrounding the land masses.

How can i download this map please?

The map is definitely playable and runs without difficulty through Arkserver Manager. To say that it's 60% done is generous and it could use updating to include new material from DLC's. There are some major glitches to watch out for but they can visually be seen from a distance as shining rectangular surfaces. The central island with the easy start locations seems mostly complete and has one of these areas to avoid. As the write-up says, there are LOTS of flat areas for building.

This map has SO much potential. It could easily be my favorite if it were repaired/finished/updated. I'd tackle the project myself if I could.

Cant wait for the next update I have been playing this map off and on for 2 years.

Yes I was checking back to see how this has progressed. Has so much to offer but I see it has been over a year since anything was done. Guess it is again on the back burner. :(

Shame it's a wonderful map idea... getting tired of the ones based around a central island. One made of up several islands you might need a boat to get to would be a very nice change of pace.

I have a feeling it's dead again, oh well :/

TJoe is working hard and has an ambitious map that myself and my friends enjoy on my private server. I love the size. I see Honey location was addressed and is in the works of being added. I am curious about Oil Veins. I have searched the current map and have not found any. I found a handful of oil rocks in the ocean. If its in development that's cool I will just hide pots of oil around the map for my friends to find just like i did with honey.
