To my knowledge, access violations usually result when a program tries to read or write to an address that it can't (because it belongs to another program, or it doesn't exist etc etc) It could be caused by anything from bad software logic, to faulty RAM. Either way, it's a problem that should be well beyond the scope of a mod, given that mods can only use code that already exists, in banished a mod can't execute its own scripts...Or at least mine don't.
@aidynmaster Banished has run its course for me, I'm no longer interested in making more mods. However, here's what I'll do, I'll make the source code available for anyone who wants it. I'll post a link in the description.
Good luck and happy modding!
have to use dx 9.
so, do everything as normal. after starting with Application, gotta open Options and choose dx9.
add it to your guide. it may help ppl who can't figure it out.
thanx!
but..... i already have the newest version. lol
i too spent a few hrs looking. when the BuildResource ran i thought i was good. then i ran the Application & it gave me errors. i googled it with no luck finding the solution.
thx for your help tho.
if you do find out why i'd appreciate the help. and you can add it to your guide.
oh, i'm running windows 10.

For some reason they did not update that main page yet, At least, as of me starting my guide to modding that I wrote but have yet to publish.
thx anyway.
btw - do you use the mod kit? i just got into banished. there's a cool mod that i'd like to try & fix, the author is retired. but it won't run. keeps giving me errors. thx.
