When I light up a fire it goes out after about 5 - 30 minutes. im ot complaining about it, it just gets annoying when i have to repeat the same task over and over

when i use fire on wood it stays a light for 5 seconds, is there a way i can make it last longer?

are the lighting levels effected when you put out a fire? such as, in a dungeon or cave when you remove a torch from the wall it gets darker......does this mod do the same thing with extinguishing the fires?

Could you port this to Skyrim Special Edition?

It was one of my first mods I ever added to Skyrim but it seems to not work anymore. It's a shame too because it's one of those things that the game should have from the get go and it adds a lot to the realism and interactivity of the game. I don't know what might causing it to faulter, I have a few spell changing mods, usually adding new ones but even using the original spells in the game doesn't seem to do anything. I have a 'tune up' mod that effects the major cities, but I do think they use the old fires. I got one mod that changes the embers mesh to a more realistic look, but looking through the comments it doesn't seem this should be causing this issue.

It's a real shame too because I really loved this mod, I hope there are some known bugs or mods that seemed to disable this mod or make it moot so I could fix it. Either way going to keep it in case it fixes itself later.

try restarting your pc that worked for me let me know if it doesn't work I will try to find other ways to fix..

OK just downloaded Cheskos annoying new Frostfall.An yet again.Added stupid spells.I can tell he is not a mage player.Because his campfires still cant be lit by flame spells.But he added spells an scrolls to the game.Yeah great thanks Chesko.So now i need a real camp fire mod again.Can you please update this mod to include the new Frostfall + Campfire mod.He combined them but did not add a script for this.

I only have one issue with it though..

in some dungeons and parts of the game.. putting out a fire does not remove the light in the room despite no other sources being around..
its a minor issue sure but for a stealth based playstyle.. being able to put out fire etc and make the room dark (like in the Thief series) is such a great thing to see in Skyrim

I think this mod doesn't integrate properly with Frostfall. I could just put this higher in the load-order than Frostfall but Frostfall is pretty high up so I'm worried. Would it be worth it to make a Frostfall compatability patch or something for other mods that include camping?

Hello, I'd like to report that while your mod is installed I can duplicate Lanterns when lighting them, that also makes them unlightable afterwards. I'm not sure if it's a recent thing or if it's just me. I'm removing the mod for now, despite how much I love turning off all the lights and wait to see what happens in the future.

What about frost and fire shouts?

I have a suggestion: same thing for campfires, but with torch sconces and braziers. I think people would appreciate this.

Hey, just a heads up. I use the whiterun skooma den player house and it makes it really dark since the only light source in on room is a fire pit for cooking. otherwise, i love it!

I've been waiting for samone to make a mod like this eversince SKYRIM came out. You should be able to put out a fire with frost majic.

also it doesn't seem to work with some of the lighting mods i'm using. or maybe it's the detailed cities/outskirts/etc that adds new lights which isn't working with it.

it would be cool if this affected candles and torches as well. y'know, for when you want things super dark for whatever reason.
