Surfer, I get where you're coming from and your intentions as Curly said are good, HOWEVER, if you do not own the copyright it's not YOUR place to make it. "Why wait for them to realize when I can do it myself?" Because it's claiming to be someone you aren't, claiming that you own the piece -sfx, music, etc.- and THAT can be considered perjury or even identity fruad {loosely but not definitively}. You want to rid the Workshop of bad things and that's admirable but there's a right and wrong way. DMCA-ing this you dislike, disagree with, feel it's your job to white knight, isn't the right way, simple.

Fair Use is both solid and rocky, because from my personal understanding it's still being questioned "What is fair use?" so it leaves a very gray area that can ♥♥♥♥ you over.

The lazy town case is the only item on this workshop I filed a DMCA complaint while the rest that were removed are by the user themselves after stating my claims here and there that lately, the community starts to stand up for their rights for a better workshop experience. Maybe you can ask the fnaf kids on what I pretty much did back in 2015 especially the useless hard stains and right now, I'm just running around telling people off about the importance of permission and respect for hard work in conjunction to the 2015 dilemma on a user called Everything_Animation whose work has been leaked followed by the communities of fnaf rampaging for not submitting the accurate models to the workshop that leads to death threats.

how so? It is his fault he dragged himself to the workshop with an obviously copyrighted item so shouldn't the end users take immediate action than waiting for years just for the lazy town company to show up and DMCA themselves.

i would recommend contacting them and asking for permission before you dmca someone like this is a big and he could take you to court and most likely win but i don't think nether of you want to spend the time or money it would cost
