3dsmax is fun to work with and allows you to easily create the model, but then you would need the full version of ultimate unwrap 3d to export your model to ogre so it can work in-game. I haven't found another way to do it yet. There are probably faster and cheaper programs to do it.

I understand. :) So you used 3ds max 2017? Just wondering what plugin did you use to import and export the mesh file? I have been having a bit trouble with them.

Ahaha. Got it. Yet, it sounds a little weird taking into account the demise of the ♥♥♥ Empire and the focus of the Americans to rebuild the country as they liked (no more divine Emperor, no more Empire). But whatevs! Plus the design looks kinda.... "gundamesque", so it's awesome ^_^

It will probably depend on how things will go. Making units, no matter how good or bad they look is art and requires time, energy and passion. Still, the Japanese faction is open for everyone who wants to express themselves and improve it. (not this unit tho, it's the model that runs the modding contest)

@Dayyalu Correct me if i'm wrong, but it would be because the Japanese emperor Hirohito has been kept by the Americans at the "lead" of the country as an opposing emblem to the communism. With the same idea, calling the japanese space forces "imperial self defense japanese forces" would show to the soviets on which side they are in addition to imply that the emperor is helping the NSDF. At the other hand, the japanese army has been replaced by the japanese self-defense forces, hence the name.

Really cool! Will you expand on this and maybe develop more japanese stuff?

I used 3d sutdio max, there's a free trial i think. But i think you can find all you need by asking rebellion. They made several streams about it.

It being French doesn't bother us.

I would but my battlezone is in french so it will show french HUD and so on. These are the best ones showing the unit only. We tried different angles.

This is a really interesting mod! The first example of an edited model in BZR! You should add more pics so more people can see what's different about it, I think a lot of people this this is just a reskin at first glance!
