Just press right control to start the engine, and then keep pressing the down arrow key to pitch up, untill you take off.

That's what i explained. You can applie a certain skin to an entire creation and all it's block through the process i explained in my previous comment.

What about putting an entire skin on a vehicle? So its faster

yes, just click on any block, click on "skins" then "manage skins" and then select the skin you want to appie to the creation (there's abutton called "apply skinpack). other than that, you can reskin every block individually with the config tool in the top toolbar (the wrench).

It makes sense that it takes it a while to take off because in real life, planes do take a while to take off. Plus can you change skins on a workshop vehicle?

Weird, it took of for me all the time and flawlessly in the barren expanse before reching the first hills......try resarting, and check if pitching up makes the inner wheels spin. If not, than that means something broke.
