Has anyone found a replacement for this yet?

Mod doesn't work anymore. Will crash to desktop when loading up
Adjani 16 nov, 2023 @ 9:33
currently makes the game crash for me.

Yeah this is very annoying, you have to click just below the planet icons to remove traits.
renegade_sock 3 feb, 2023 @ 1:04
@Subtle Legend, will report back if it doesn't work but I'm assuming it will

The commenter, Subtle, below this is absolutely right. This method works, even with a heavily modded game - all you need to do, is go into your workshop folder (Program Files (x86), Steam, steamapps, workshop, content) and I'd recommend sorting by date modified to find the mod. You should one folder, interface. That's the file that contains the two files you need to delete, as he mentioned. The other files should contain a text document which should be a carbon copy of what is written on the mod workshop page above. Hope this helps!
Subtle 3 jan, 2023 @ 13:04
For those looking for an updated version of this - it actually can still work, if you're just looking for the species template editor and not the empire creation stuff. The species editor GUI file (interface/species_mod_window.gui) seems to work fine.

I did get a crash when trying to run the whole mod as-is, but the workaround was to go into the mod file and delete the other two interface files (interface/customize_species_editors.gui & interface/government_mod_window.gui). I was installing it on an in-progress game, so I didn't care about the empire creation screen anyway.

Sadly, Stellaris crashes for me.
Jesse LeStache 13 dec, 2021 @ 11:13
Any updates on this, or at least alternatives?
Killer Tamashi 14 jul, 2021 @ 23:30
Huh, I've seen you two around these sections twice now..Not wrong, though.

@Muzlof there was a 6.6mb update from somewhere else in the workshop that seemed to be related around the same time the mod stopped working, so it might be someone changed the following data files as found in the description on a different mod that is now in conflict with this one.
Muzolf 1 jun, 2021 @ 9:06
Was anything changed in this mod since yesterday?

Yesterday everything was running fine, today, the game would just crash at start, when the loading indicator gets to 100%.
And i have pinned it down to this mod, since when i deactivated it, Stellaris is running again. Deleting and reloading it, or checking the game file integrity was of not help either, the game only runs now, if i fully remove this mod, and only this mod.
Arcane Teuton 18 maj, 2021 @ 23:21
Are there any mods like this but for civics?
[Land of Chaos] Jakub 20 apr, 2021 @ 13:15
Mod looks nice would like to use it will it be updated to 3.0 ?
Barosz Gádžožrút 902 01 19 apr, 2021 @ 7:55
3.0?
requiemofreason 20 mar, 2021 @ 13:03
This is a very useful mod. Unfortunately, with Planetary Diversity, the "Planet Preference" box needs to be at least three vertical lines long to avoid completely overlapping your already-chosen traits.

An even bigger version of this mod would be very appreciated.
m.schwantje 28 jan, 2021 @ 13:35
same as the last comment, also thank you for your wonderful work
TurtleShroom 16 jan, 2021 @ 17:13
Please consider adding scrollbars. Also, please add a scrollbar for the Habitability. I have Planetary Diversity and several other Planet Mods, and these completely overthrow in your version.
Ripped R2 8 dec, 2020 @ 13:58
seconded here, i like to play by installing an absurd number of trait mods, so only about 1/8th of the traits are actually available with this, honestly i think it should be scrollable
Error_error 12 aug, 2020 @ 12:25
is there any way to make this bigger?
RealLifeHobgoblin 20 jul, 2020 @ 4:48
@JR It is compatible. Even after all the patches. Even with Dark UI. Just make sure you drag it all the way to the bottom of your mod list, after all other UI mods and Planetary Diversity and Trait mods.
Words and Philosophy 5 jul, 2020 @ 15:52
Could you make a version that's compatible with "UI Overhaul Dynamic"?
Jack Stewart 9 jun, 2020 @ 20:22
I am so glad to see this mod updated! There is one other mod sort of like this, but it ONLY updates the genemod window. Thank you for fixing it!
smileytechie  [skapare] 9 jun, 2020 @ 18:47
Sorry for the long absence! Just updated for 2.7.*

The crashing was because of the species creation changes since my previous update. The old customize_species_editors.gui in this mod was missing a lot of essential stuff, like origins. Removing this mod's customize_species_editors.gui would fix the crashing issue, if something similar comes up.

@TurtleShroom When I try 1024x768 everything seems scaled down rather than cropped, so the modded screens fit that resolution fine. Give it a try now that it's updated? If it doesn't work, let me know what needs to be fixed.
TurtleShroom 9 jun, 2020 @ 15:13
Please make one for 1024 X 768 !
Jack Stewart 31 maj, 2020 @ 21:28
@hubertkenobi
That's not really the same, it adds trait points. This just expanded the window.
rudm 10 apr, 2020 @ 13:56
Is there any alternative for this mod?
Adjani 19 mar, 2020 @ 12:01
makes game crash on startup. to avoid.
Tail_AbNormal 10 mar, 2020 @ 22:12
Mod still works but it's not compatible with UI 1080p overhaul.
denzellbeatty4554 26 jul, 2019 @ 22:02
can you update this?
Ekmah [FR] 11 jun, 2019 @ 4:33
the species is available on a dlc
Gideon Falcon 10 jun, 2019 @ 13:30
Where does that species portrait come from?
Bazalisk 4 jan, 2019 @ 16:09
yes this works totally fine in 2.2 :)
The Erubian Warlord 29 dec, 2018 @ 20:45
does this still work?
Firathmagi 26 dec, 2018 @ 11:32
does this work with 2.2?
wincentweynard 27 nov, 2018 @ 10:54
Finally a mod that extends the traits window. Works together with United traits and 1080P mod (not included). Only the "mod not compatible" error at the start is annoying.
Jor Exotic 9 nov, 2018 @ 11:02
So is this mod useable my dudes? Particularly with 1080p Plus?
Bomb boy 22 jul, 2018 @ 14:49
upadte plase
< blank > 4 jul, 2018 @ 8:31
is this compatible with DarkUI and 1080p UI overhaul plus?
YakAttack 15 jun, 2018 @ 17:04
This mod works in 2.1 for me, I do have other mods that change GUI aspects but I don't think that would fix this mod if it were broken.
X'Zaguer 2 jun, 2018 @ 6:44
2.1.0 update?
Dr Zhivago 10 apr, 2018 @ 20:56
It is working in 2.0.2. Hopefully author updates it though *hint hint*
Joshyan 1 mar, 2018 @ 22:00
This mod is working in 2.0
James Fire 1 mar, 2018 @ 20:35
This still says only 1.8 compatibility. It works with 2.0?
Lordchungass 14 feb, 2018 @ 21:51
this is too much power
MukadeNo Gokou / 百足の蜈蚣 27 jan, 2018 @ 20:03
Excuse me, Can you apply similar things to start systems, ship's appearance?
and Is it possible to display preset empires and create empires separately?
