I've got a problem where I need to mine steel with a Deep Drill but most of my deposits are compressed steel, which is useless for construction. Is there any way to convert compressed steel to regular steel?

I loved using this to build my fortresses with... expensive, but worth it. How comes this mod was never updated?

Love the mod, would love to see support for modded materials; only small gripe I have is that with the Quarry mod i also am getting reinforced materials(which is pretty awesome actually) and am unable to sell what I dont want to use. Maybe reverse the machine to unreinforce materials for a loss, like you get 5 back instead of the full 10.

This works just fine without autoloader. You either have a conflict or aren't making stockpiles in the appropriate spots on the sides and back. It requires power as well.

ED-Autoloader is the mod from same author you see in the screen shots that act like hoppers to put materials into the machine to compress them.

I'm really glad for the update, but is there any way to make support for mod added materials? Or do they all have to be hardcoded?

A bit late to the party, but this doesn't work on a16 at all. Which is a pity because I loved using this. Is there any chance of this getting updated? Or do changes to the base game prevent it?

So say i create reinforced steel, what can i use the reinforced steel for?
Walls? Stronger walls makes sense.
Weapons? Melee and ranged?

Well nevermind part of that.. reinforced steel spear showed up on a vender so I could sell that. But in 2 1/2 colony life spans now I've not encountered any merchants what would see reinforced blocks.

The reinforced blocks and things made with them, like weapons, aren't able to be sold to venders...
