Nightagale armor you can get by doing Thives Guild Quest line.
anymore
All I know is..it worked for me.I could hack and slash and walk right past guards.Steal stuff..equip the enchanted armor...and I wasn't seen at all.I used to drive Lex(the guard captain.) crazy.I'd put on the Grey Fox mask..he'd go to capture me..poof!..I'm gone!..lol
Still..i think what you have beats the 'One Ring' mod...
Side note: if you didnt want to trigger the "Oblivion crisis" and still be able to get 100% and full-time invisible, you just could use the normal chameleon enchantment at altars (or however they're called).
The difference is that spell-type enchantment is capped at 20% effectiveness, while stones gave you like 30%, if I remember well. So you needed less equipment pieces to get full-time invisibility and you could use the extra slot for some other effect.....but once you're invisible, what else could you need!?!?!? XD
You're right and you're wrong: those stones give you "chameleon" which is intended as "mimicry" that can have several degrees of effectiveness depending on the enchantment's power (and number of equipment pieces that have that enchantment on).
Invisibility, instead, is more like "100% or nothing", which goes off as soon as you interact with something, be it a NPC or an item.
If you remember, indeed, you couldnt imbue armors with invsibility enchantment (which doesnt even exists as an enchantment, actually).
If it's just for the enchantable set, there's another mod that turns the nightingale armor fully enchantable.
Btw, I think there's nothing like the Oblivion's chameleon enchantment, here in Skyrim. And the invisibility enchantment goes off as soon as you interact with something, just as in Oblivion.
