the "floppy" hats arent unhistorical tbh and sits pretty well with the kinda early rennesance era army of The Empire. but if you or others are bothered with it then its a good mod, still just not for me as I love those stylish hats ;)

Floppy hats are lore friendly so removing them isnt (I collect Empire units), also the great swords are based on Landsknechts who were German mercs who dressed close to this but less uniformed and a lot less armor they just looked fancy and did great with a pike and great sword. However I understand why some people may not like them so great mod :)

Soldiers that can't afford all the equipment rather buy a body armor than only a head protection. Thats what I think

Eh I tend to disagree. As far as I am aware the floppy hats are lore friendly. Or, maybe I'm wrong. Perhaps they only wear the floppy hats per military parade? Sort of like berets today. No way in hell people are wearing those in battle.
