A bit unfortunate that an early step needs to be repeated, but otherwise fine.
Overall room size, lighting, and portal-able wall selection (the pattern is cool!) are good.
In essence, I went behind the ball after flinging it to the button to try and rescue it. Apparently, I cannot xD -- If you want a screenshot I can provide.
Logic tests like yours can get tedious once the path to the finish is found. Part of the challenge of really good tests (and don't get me wrong, your tests are just fine) is finding the correct path to the finish out of a bunch of incorrect ones. Good luck with that one.
As for the "exploit," I used that to solve the test. It's a special type of fling I call a drop fling, plus some air strafing.
