texMod field is optional, it defines default unit skins for the map. You can also set it as "desert" or "winter". You can actually borrow map.info from one of the existing maps and edit it. Player count can be also set separately for each game mode, if you want different count for some mode (evacuation or KotH, for example). You need to create *.info file with same name as corresponding *.mi file and set player count in it, as above.
