exothermic: Right. There's a similar mod for some of the base game assets. It's simply a collection of xml values that do nothing unless RICO is installed. If RICO is installed, it will see these values and make the assets available under the appropriate RICO tabs.

Sadly Quad Set has never worked as a growable for me since it exists. I can mostly place it's unique buildings just fine, but the theme style is completely bugged up for me from the very first day. I did some re-installs of the complete game and mods since then and all other themes work fne, Quads Set never did though. Now I even got a bug in the content manager that if I try to put missing e.g. residential buildings in Quads Set it creates a new theme also called Quads Set. It's a real bummer as I really like these artful assets...

@Quad Rioters - I understand that, is just this line "This mod does not interfere/stop the assets to grow in the growable zones" implied to me that they would still show up on their own in zones (assuming they are within 4x4), in addition to the ones I plop down myself. I didn't realize it was one or the other.

I think it works fine. It just not for the Unique Buildings.

@T bone -Tse - Try using the Building Theme Mod in a new city with no other mods to see if there are any conflicts. If it doesnt work, you need to consult the modder who made it.

@Andy - I think you are missing the point with Ploppable RICO. Normally, the zoning buildings (RES, COM, IND, OFF) will be built on their respective zones automatically without any player's input. Ploppable RICO mod allows you to place those growables in the city without actual zoing. It does not make the blueprints that are not native RES COM IND OFF to grow in the zones, especially those which are bigger than 4x4. It is the game limitation.

Ploppable RICO also allows asset creators to change unique buildings or parks into RES COM IND OFF so those can be bigger than 4x4 as you have seen many in the workshop (RICO Supported). Once again, they will not grow in the zoning areas and will require your own input to place them in the game yourself.

At last, this asset of mine here only contains a script that triggers Ploppable RICO to recognize my growable buildings demonstrated by the last screenshot above.

In my experience, the RICO buildings never appear (grow) on zones I set.
Do they need to be added to a theme first?

@goldlife - All you need to do is to subscribe to this asset, Quad Architecture and Ploppable RICO mod. You should see this building in Ploppable RICO option in-game in Office category without accessing to Ploppable RICO's menu further. Otherwise, I will check and confirm the file.

@Baleur - Currently, Ploppable RICO is the only option to alter larger blueprints like Unique or Park to act like Res, Com, Ind and Office. So it is possible in some extend.

I dont understand how to plop your assets. I have downloaded this asset, the main ploppable Rico Mod and some of your ploppable assets. But how can I enable this asset? In object list this is activated... I am confused because this is not a mod. In rico ploppable mod I can search for this asset but I cant "enable RICO" on this asset. Please help.

What i want is a Growable PLOPPABLE mod, lol.
I mean, a mod that would allow big lot uniques to be growable in zones (if they are large enough, as the huge skyscrapers in sim city 4). Think that will ever be possible?

Is there a way to make it so I don't get the "No road connection" messasge? I want to place these around the place but not have to build roads to each and every one.

@Whoook - Sorry for the late reply. The search works just fine for me so...
- Possible conflitcted mods?
- Do you actually have my buildings enabled properly?
- Try searching actual names like Trance or Jade or Javelin.
- It might be that subscribing and having-CRP are different, I never tested this however.

Hi Quad,

Really love your works !
However, I have one issue.
In the Building Theme Mod Tab, I can't find any of the assets to add them to a custom building Theme.
They do appear in the RICOS Tab, but nowhere to find in the Building Theme Mod Tab.
I also tried to do a research like you said by typing Quad, but nothing appears.
None of your buildings actually show up. This is annoying as I can't create a custom Theme with only your buildings as growable.
Could you enlighten me, if possible ?

I said Theme Mod rather than Building Theme Mod, didn't I. Thank you for the correction. I will include that mod in here as well.

Yes, Building Theme Mod is very useful and very intuitive. The search of the mod in-game can help including only for the search text. You can just type in Quad and all my buildings should be searched up and can just enable all at once without clicking enabling them one by one. :engineercat:

@ppfeiffer7 there is a solution for your problem. If you use Building Themes mod you can define for the complete map a specific Theme and disallow non assigned buildings to grow.

I use this workaround for all RICO buildings that are also growable. ...But it needs some time to setup the discrict styles...

@ppfeifer7 - Right now, the answer is sadly no. There is no way (yet) to completely force them to be ploppable which relying on the mod itself, at least for now. I would love to do that as well. The only way to force them to not grow everywhere is Theme Mod or ban high-rise policy.

Hey!

I want to suubscribe to all of your buildings, but I only want them to be ploppable...
If I download this and subscribe to your collection, will the groawables still spawn in my city, o r will I be given complete control? I only want your buildings in the "newer" part of my city, for much of it has a more classical look.

This is a cool idea, but there is a better way to do this. Can you get ahold of me, BP, or Tailgunner via Steam chat?

We can set you up with your own settings mod that you control. If you make thumbnails for your growables, we can load those in game for you.

@Rune Trantor - This asset upon enabling adds the Statue (park) and the Code Text to have Ploppable RICO mod recognizes my existing growables to be ploppable. They are also still growable regardless.
