Old extraction point still can be fortified by engineers.
Added some more fortification posibilities to the flags in Domination mod.
Now fortifying some points at tier 4 or 5 will bring weapon emplacements.
However, game performance since the official release have gone significantly worse. Especially on dense maps like this.
First of all take a scrutiny on existing maps. PDF guide that can be found in game folder is quite useful too. (Steam\SteamApps\common\Call to Arms\mods\tools). It has, for instance, the description of hotkeys, which quicken things greatly.
It is easier to make map if you have at least vague conception of what you want to see. Some people take real life references for specific map fragments or sometimes even for an entire maps. Carve main map outlines via terrain / heightmap and big objects, then divide map into several sections and gradually fill each section with smaller details. You can use key objects like capture points as an "anchors" for each section. CtA is heavily based on close quarters and cover usage, so make sure you put fair amount of small details.
About textures, well, I used sequence you probably already know: paint area with texture1, then add pair of textures with same texture1 and different texture2. Then use right mouse button to gradually add texture2 across texture1. Comes harder when you need to put more than 2 textures close, that's where I am not good at =)
Pretty often I just masked sharp texture borders with decals or entities.
Plz keep a sharp eye on any bugs. Notes on balance or objective placement will also be considered. I'll probably sum up all the tweaks and update this next weekend.
