I have to test how the new update plays out for the AI empire factions first. We will probably also get an update from CA where they adress balancing issues with the new Norsca factions.
As a fan of the lore, I really hate them having a good chance of stomping all over the Greenskins. They are supposed to be a doomed and dwindling race, albeit with very strong defenses.
I'd like to see them become about 20-25% less powerful, somehow. Thanks.
I like the idea of your mod, but in the playtest that I did, I found out the nerf was a bit too powerful, I use the Better AI mod from Minos which gives huge boosts to the AI but even with that they were not even able to field 2 or 3 armies. Could you possibily make a version of this mod where the nerf is less powerful ? (like, for exemple, level 3 settlements giving around 150-200 gold ?).
sorry for the bad english
Will this affect the northmen tribes that you 'awaken' as chaos? I'd like my awoken allies to be useful.
But, I think it also affects those tribes that you awaken and subjugate, so if you don't plan on nursing them a lot to help them get a working economy, you might want to turn this mod of when the hostile Scaelings and Vargs are gone. Otherwise they are no help, and easily get ganked by roaming southeners.
aaaaaaand question 2,can the same be done for top knotz? cause in most of my campaigns the greenskins feel like a minor faction, while savage orcs build giant empires and become the most common tipe of orc you deal with... wich is not cool at all.
As far as "not a threat but a nuisance" it has been the case for my playthrough so far (excluding that initial 4 stack rush).
Maybe CA will somehow sort it out later with something lake splitting up the factions with infighting or being already at war with Nordland and Ostland at the beginning.
In Vanilla with 10 settlements they get 6750 plus 2500 base income which results in 4-6 stacks (based on difficulty) for both Varg and Skaeling.
The Ai takes a few turns to adjust to their new money situation.
As for Bretonnia, I cannot help individual factions as they are not differentiated in the game files.
I think the problem is that empire units of Tilea are worth more in auto-resolving against bretonnian armies. But I think CA will look at that anyway in the future.
You hit the nail on the head.
Chaos AI is basically cheating with being able to field 6+ full stack armies (and those armies are just in my field of vision... I would imagine they have more somewhere else on the map).
While we probably will need some sort of other mid-late game faction to put pressure on the player (at least as Empire), having Norsca be this perpetual army machine is NOT how to do it in an entertaining fashion. If nothing else, it's just extremely tedious to fight the exact same army again and again. Oh, and then again and again after that.
Great job and much appreciated - an instant subscription!
