The modders in charge of Project Limestone, are developing the entire United States city by city. So one day we will get an actual New York map.
It's just, maps take tremendous time to make, and the bigger the map, the longer it takes.

Dislike for underdevelopment. It's a very interesting coincidence that Arma 3 doesn't have a single well-designed USA city map from the 21st century. Either it is GameMapRealistic, which is not corrected manually and there are a lot of inconsistencies, or something like that.
As a result, for 7 years no one dared to make a worthwhile map of a large city of USA

Given this hasn't been updated since 2018, it's very likely it's never going to be updated and is abandoned.

I most certainly did not fly a plane into a tower , I can honestly not belive you would think that low of me.

I believe that Lum said he wanted to rework the map in terms of assets and authenticity. The problem is basically assets and time consumption. I believe Lum is already too occupied with real life stuff, so can't imagine him getting back on the development of the map any time soon. It would be rad to see it get revived by volunteers with Lum's approval though. I would even be willing to help having spent thouands of hours in the editor (not strictly map-making but still).

I am more than willing to help build the world and give ideas, if anyone is interested in reigniting the development of this mod, feel free to contact me and I hope the mod creator will consider options. Im willing to donate money if finance is an issue. Ive worked with the eden editor before so I am familiar, when you say rework, does that mean the scripts too or just props, structures to make it look more authentic?

@Olafpfeffer The work on the map has been put on hold for a very long time now. Do not expect any new additions in the nearest future, not to mention a whole new map.
For the time being you're best bet is to use the hide environment objects module in the editor if you do not like some of the props set up on the streets.
