A) it bloats the file sizes
B) it can cause file conflicts
C) it's against Valve's TOS to include their unmodified retail game content in Workshop submissions
D) the Valve complete pack goes on sale for <$5 multiple times a year
E) mounting the game makes it work for ALL submissions, as opposed to one
F) it's easier on the submitter to require it than include it
but yeah i dont usually but those because i dont normally find maps that need things like hl2 ep2, l4d2, etc...
mostly just css ;-;
The Orange Box came out in 2007, and it regularly goes on sale for literally a dollar or less.
then i saw the requirements -_-
You have to install EP2 via Steam, and then run it to the main menu at least once. Source doesn't fully install or unpack the game until it is booted.
Then you need to hit the controller icon on the bottom ribbon in GMod's main menu. GMod doesn't automatically mount games (more mounts = longer load times) so you have to enable it from there. Restart GMod to make sure it takes effect, and it should work.
ok, I understand that graphing a map like this is a pain, no pressure.
I added a WIP node graph for now. It only covers the lakeside village & the road out of it, but it's a start. Terrain node graphing is a fucking pain in the ass, so I'm staggering it out.
That's all Episode 2. Are you sure it's mounted via the little controller on the main menu footer ribbon? Did you install it completely? Did you run it at least once to complete setup? If all else fails verify Episode 2.
Screenshots would help me figure out where.
This is the full version. It was released several years ago.
What's "in progress for almost 7 years"?
Got a screenshot? Would help narrow down which one.
Xtremer released the source files for free use to edit, so you're welcome to change it up yourself.
