Why are the lights not on the far side of the intersection.

i had to unsubscribe, for some reason at a four way intersection i only get traffic lights on one road, the other crossing road has none.

This was the first traffic lights mod ever. The main purpose of it was to figure out how custom traffic light props could be made (they require an unusual type of texture maps which is not present in other props). As I'm really bad at 3d modelling I just picked up a model that could be easily extracted and matched CO games' scope 😊

Well, this asset is based on the Cities in Motion 2 model and not on some real traffic lights 😉 Changed the title to avoid confusion.

There are other traffic light packs with those features you can download and use BOB or Traffic Light Replacer to replace them.

Actually some of the poles in Arizona are brown and flat, say phoenix for example. And in other areas the stoplights have black covers. It would be nice to customize the color of the light poles and covers.

It's Dark Gray stoplights with metallic silver poles in Maricopa County, Arizona as of the last time i was there, though this is more Eastern US then Western US, though minus the poles and put them on powerlines and you get the specific area i'm in right now being North Carolina, anyways this is a Great mod i like it, though i would also like the dark gray option for a alternative as i have a Western US themed map theme.

Would it be possible for a mod that also replaces the railroad crossing gates with North American ones?

Hi BloodyPenguin first praise for your modding work. I've done a lot for transport fever and now I wanted to dare cities skylines! First, I wanted to rewrite German railway crossings and then traffic lights for cities skylines. Do you know what I have to enter here so that the path transition is replaced? Var name = prop.name;

Is this only compatible with the U.S. road mod? I installed it and all my traffic signals disappeared. But when I build roads with the US road mod, they have traffic signals. I'm using the North American road mod which is much better than the US mod and it doesn't appear to be compatible.

It's good but it would be perfect if the lights were on the opposite sides of the intersection like North American lights are

Any plans/progress to fix T intersections? Currently my elevated 4 lane-1 way road, perpendicular to an elevated 4 lane-2way road with median forming an elevated intersection, still cuts off the vehicular traffic signals, though pedestrian signals are visible.

So I give up using US 6-lane blvd and I unsub [US Road Project] Roadside Props.
After that I load my game.
My built in 6 lane roads traffic lights became default traffic lights.
And my Network Extensions 2's 8 lane blvd traffic lights became half defaut trafficlights, half japanesetraffic lights.
I want to restore all my built in roads and Network Extention 2 Roads's traffic lights to Japanese traffic lights.
I tried unsub and resub Japanese traffic light Mod again(both RHT & LHT were tried) but it didn't work.
How do I restore all the traffic light to Japanese traffic light?

can you make it so when there's a 3 way intersection the light faces the third road in the inter section bc rn when you do that the light on the third road faces away from it

works fine on other maps except snowfall maps

@BloodyPenguin traffic lights bug out on any winter map/winter themed maps for the entrie lightposts and the lights them selves go pure white. Possible fix?

Guys, sorry for not having time to read the comments. But be sure that it works as of update 1.10 and will most likely be compatible with 1.11 :) If not, I will fix it :)

This mod allways worked for me and it made my game so much better. With the new american traffic light mod this seems to be outdated but again, thank you so much!

Not sure if it is specifically this mod, but when using it sometimes all traffic lights do disappear. A full reload did seem to fix it for me so maybe just something not loading in, or some other mod conflict. Couldn't track it down any further than that.

@OD Gaming Actually, it is possible to get the traffic lights on the opposite side of the intersection. Download the mod called "Horizontal Traffic Lights". I wish BP would update this mod, because it's such a crucial part of a city building game like this.

Hey so I know it's not possible to have the traffic lights on the opposite side of the intersection as they are in real life in the game, but I was wondering, would it be possible to "cheat" by having an option to rotate the street lights 90 degress so that they were facing the street to the left? I know then technically the lights would be out of sync with traffic, but it's a sacrifice I'd be willing to make for the visual appeal. If it were possible this of course would only work with four-way intersections, as at a three way it'd become obvious they were facing the wrong direction.

@AmnesiacGuy @WisTex This mod is basically a prop replacer. Props don't kill one's framerate and don't cause incompatibilities.

All the arguing in these comments could have been avoided if you'd called this mod Canadian Traffic Lights Mod, since most Canadian cities have yellow traffic lights on arms.

For those wondering, this style of light does crop up all over the U.S., however, it is a very old style that is not used for new installations. So any time you see these, it's because the local authority hasn't updated them with more modern ones. They're basically grandfathered in. Some jurisdictions purposefully keep the same style for simplicity and to keep the historical look. So old towns, certain jurisdictions in New York, and other places continue to use this style.

Are there any known incompatibilities with other mods? This and all other traffic light mods all stopped working for me after the Green Cities update. Apparentlly this mod works for others, but I can't figure out why it won't work for me anymore.

I presume you guys have traveled all over the US? As a former OTR Trucker I have, and in certain sections of Michigan, Jersey City, Newark & Trenton, NJ, along with Philly, PA (to name a few), have these lights. So don't think it's just a NY thing, because it isn't.

Either way it's a nice Mod, if you're looking for something different. So what's the big deal?

These are only common in New York, the rest of the country looks nothing like these.
