I've been snacking on primitive species all day, pretty OP.
A terraforming option to turn the world into an infected one with 100% habitability for infected and would turn any other pop that lands on it into an infected pop. Maybe, have to transform enemy infected planets into yours? And an option to orbital bomb a planet to remove the infection with a 40% chance of it working and a 50% chance to turn it into a barren or molten planet.
if i get it working properly, may i please release an updated version? (with attribution and links etc...)
I'd love to run an immigration agreement-focused game with this to see how far I can spread my species without direct conquest.
Picture a science vessel or vessel that's infected and brings it home, or the vessel flips to your command. Events where people are coming to you to join your collective. People want the Change. Some variant of Assist Research that targets enemy planets, potentially adding the trait.
Of course, there's just getting Migration Access and letting nature take it's course....but wait; the new pops will still be THEIRS, not YOURS. You'd want something like the Alien Infiltration, which flips the planet. But that would get you the Conquered modifier.
Just a thought.
The enemy homeworld will get an infrastructure built solely for the purpose of fast food production (this has a double meaning ^^) while still giving out some energy to actually power the plantation, which are then used to grow... food.
Stuff that would be cool to add: new button under Manage Factions for Seed Infection. New ship type, Infection Seed. Infection by army invasion. Change the method from one-by-one to planet-wide event with potential resistance. Planetary edicts to prevent infection rather than empire policy. Observation post option to infect primitive species. Diplomatic options relating to infection.
All of that will take more work and deeper understanding of modding. And for the moment, I'm too busy devouring my conquered planets...
I know it'd be a shit tone of work but if you could expand upon this that would be incredible. I'm sure someone will eventually but yeah, really well done thus far.
