and one thing i been seeing a constant of in your stuff witch i think is causing some bugs is it apears that you have 2 or 3 block bodes over lapping each other. like in the stone wall engine part i saw that the engine over heated after about 2 feet cause most of the pipes were glitching in and out of blocks. i also think that some of the guns are also blocked from this. i did fix the stone wall but the plane just flys off strait and doesnt attack and couldnt get that to work.

i think this needs updated too. i tryed it out a couple times and as soon as it gets made it starts flying around. i even turned off the ai move to and had it on manule and docked still just spun around in the dock clamp. funny and not so funny was that it was dock clamped and still flying like a tweeker crashing all over the place and finaly blew up in the tub and destryed the sub.

It's a little coincidental how there's a tank from "Ashes of the Empires" also named the Polaris that launches it's own nuke

Targeting system is bugged, I haven't been making any other missiles because I can't seem to get it fixed.

Runs just fine, but there are two problems that need addressing. First is the fuel content, it's simply not enough to hit some targets, and second is accuracy. I've had it miss ships as large as the Moray and crap out right behind them. A harpoon on the nose would be a good idea.

The missile takes off perfectly. Then it goes out of the water, flies in circles, nearly hits the sub, and then takes off into space in a straight line. Is this supposed to happen? The target was not far from it ...

A torpedo is a neat idea, for now here's a smaller rocket (it works like a torpedo if you take off the thruster lol)

If I havent bothered you too much already, I got an idea. Would it be possible to make nuclear torpedoes? Missiles seem to be pretty vurnerable to enemy fire if they have fast firing cannons, but torpedoes could approach in some depth where it's little safer and then come and hit the enemy in the bottom.

Yea, it won't really be possible to fix without a ton of rubber because docking stations tend to just teleport them inside of walls for no reason.

Nice. These seem to be first ones to lauch somewhat reliably. Still cant go full speed when launching tho, so not for AI but still nice.

You could try using rubber, but usually it just breaks because the glitch occurs whenever the vehicle undocks. It teleports into the walls or gets some kind of force applied on it from nowhere. A little one has been published too so look on workshop for that.

Also the biggest problem for me seems to be that the missile still hits the walls and explodes if my submarine is moving at all or is littlebit pitched forward or backwards. Anyone have solution for this?

Sure, if I change the engine configuration and move the AI I can get a much shorter one, albeit less aerodynamic.

Well. Found the ICBM that is 13 in lenght but still a smaller design of this would be nice. I really like the folding fins.

Yeah. Could you maybe try to do like a bit more compact version? My submarine is too small to fit one of these competely inside. Maybe like 10-12 in lenght and 3x3 or 3x4 around?

The Polaris nuclear retrofit has these weird sort-of oval shaped hatches, it's basically just a known bug because of the way docking is controlled. (that and some blocks don't actually seem to have the right collision model)

So i tried to use these with a vehicle blueprint spawner but the problem is that even with 1 free space on each side they do get stuck most of the time and blow up my sub. You got any ideas how can i launch these safely from a vertical position? Do you have any subs with these installed that i could use as a reference?

Its up to you, if you know LUA you can find some good drone launch control scripts. You could also theoretically set an ACB with an input of 'none' and then the player would be able to control the missiles. (because it would never trigger on its own.)

I tested it on its own and guidance seems to work OK. And can AI fire these with LWC or do i have to set like ACB or something to launch it?

You can set this as a sub-vehicle to act as a drone weapon or just load the blueprint into a vehicle respawn/scrapper and activate it to fire. (Make sure to add alot of repair tentacles)
It can launch underwater but the guidance system might be fubar because of a game glitch.

Download the stuff through that really convoluted workshop menu on the title screen. Then you can just bloop it whevever you want and underwater because its designed to launch from submarine. You can build it pretty fast if you have a good number of repair tentacles so it makes a quite formitable drone weapon.

Ok so ive made my own version useing the lua code from this missle that detonates more reliabley and, sits still while no iminent enemies, automaticaly docks and undocks depending on if there are enemies, it makes a MUCH bigger hole and it looks kewl. im gonna post it and call it v2 cuz its the second attempt at a missle made by me

Soooooooo I spent a good two or more hours modifying this design to be well... better! I take no credit for the original design i only take credit for the 4 extra ACB blocks that ive placed near the nose of the missile. i've also re-clad the missle in wood to make it a bit cheaper. The missile will now idle and sit still while there are no enemies and will auto undock and if it survives auto redock after battle for possible repairs. I plan on posting this version with your permission.
