IUPUI uses this. Their VR lab has a plaque by the door that has the Holodeck label and when you put the Vive on, this is what you see. Outside of it being Star Trek themed, this is great because it doesn't move, it has enough detail to not break immersion (and therefore cause VR sickness), and is very solid and grounded (which also helps to stop VR sickness).

Best environment for SteamVR that I can find, even for those who are not fans of Star Trek. It just makes a nice empty room for starting at. It gives you a good on-land feel so you don't get virtigo.

I would love to see this, sounds like you spent a lot of time on it. Unfortunately, I have subscribed and it still isn't in the list of available environments. I have rebooted my machine, and the HTC Vive several times trying to fix this.

Kevin, maybe be able to add an actual program that loads into the holodeck? This could be an awesome sci-fi scare setup too... Holodeck starts to malfunction placing the player in different enviroments? IDK just some random stoner ideas.

yep. opt-in to beta client, download beta client, restart steamvr, click subscribe on this thing, go to settings, click environment, apply this thing. (look at some of the other cool skins for your base stations and controllers too)

fantastic work..I LOVE when games are loading it fades back to this really great work.
Now if we could just add an audio file that says "Arch" not click sound when you click the steam menu button :)

Great - this is what I had hoped the other holodeck would be. Nicely done. I'd suggest adding a black non-reflective box behind the arch so you don't have to worry about seams
